Minn:Muslims Offended by Fast Food toy

A Muslim family eating in a Long John Silver's restaurant in the Mall of America is upset because their child's meal came with a toy that had "Build with Jesus" written on it. As usual CAIR has gotten involved. They want the restaurant to give the family a written apology, make sure that this never happens again and have representatives of the chain participate in CAIR's sensitivity and diversity training. By diversity do they mean this?

"Those who stay in America should be open to society without melting, keeping Mosques open so anyone can come and learn about Islam. If you choose to live here, you have a responsibility to deliver the message of Islam ... Islam isn't in America to be equal to
any other faiths, but to become dominant. The Koran, the Muslim book
of scripture, should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the
only accepted religion on Earth."

Omar Ahmad
Co-Founder of the Council on American-Islamic Relations

This is the same mall that just a week ago opened an Islamic prayer room Islamic prayer room. It is like I have been saying. No one should cater to them at all, because their demands are never ending. If anyone wants to help out here is the contact info for the restaurant's headquarters.

CAIR-MN Calls for Probe of Religious Material in Children's Meal

ST. PAUL, Minn., Dec. 19 2008
The Minnesota chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-MN) today called on Kentucky-based Yum! Brands, the parent company of the Long John Silver's restaurant chain, to investigate a complaint reported to the Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization involving distribution of religious literature in a children's meal.

In November, a Muslim family visited a Long John Silver's restaurant at the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minn., and ordered a children's meal for their three-year-old son. They noticed that the toy that came with the meal was a small notepad with the phrase "Build with Jesus" written at the top along with a quote from the Bible.

Although Muslims respect the Bible and believe in Jesus as a prophet of Islam, the family preferred a non-religious toy in the children's meal. After requesting an alternative toy for their child, the family was shown variations of the notepad, each containing a different verse from the Bible.

"While the restaurant has the right to distribute whatever materials it wishes, we believe it is inappropriate to include such texts in children's meals without first making parents aware of the religious content," said CAIR-MN Civil Rights Director Taneeza Islam. "It would be more appropriate if the restaurant offered toys that included wisdom from different faiths and offered a non-religious alternative."

Ms. Islam noted that the Mall of America attracts visitors from around the world.

On its website (Yum.com) Yum! Brands notes that diversity is "their way of life" and that the company strives for "inclusion and engagement."

CAIR-MN is asking Yum! Brands to:

1. Investigate the incident.

2. Offer the Muslim family a formal written apology.

3. Review the toy distribution policy for all restaurants and ensure that such incidents are not repeated.

4. Participate in CAIR's sensitivity and diversity training.

The restaurant chain has not responded to a November 17 letter from the Islamic civil rights and advocacy group.

Why do they always have to make a scene? They could just put the toy and whatever in the garbage. What would happen to me if I protested something like this, as a Christian, in their country? I'd just tell them to STFU and CAIR the same. This is a CHRISTIAN country and these dimwits better get used to it.

I was thinking the same thing. Just throw it out, end of story. But they see they can push us around and they just keep on pushing. It will not last much longer.

I have no problem with these people complaining. It's a free country. What really ticks me off through, is when people LISTEN to them. They (and CAIR) should just be told that their offense is noted - and then place their grievance in the circular file.

This is not a Christian country. This is a country meant to inspire us all to separate religion from politics. I would not want my country to be incapable of separating church and state. Our Founders wisely made sure of that. We don't need jihadis nor do we need Puritans. Jehovah's Witnesses at least don't make or execute violent threats as they proselytize. Calling others dimwits and slandering their religion is not more enlightened than them--it is sinking below them.

Oh, I just can't wait until my overactive son gets a Happy Meal with an action figure of Mohammad, takes him home, and has baby Jesus from our nativity stomp all over him...or, better yet...has his Captain Jack figure stab him for trying to "dominate" the crew of the Black Pearl.

Long John Silver's is privately owned and can use whatever promo toys they like.

Hello again Mr. Hastings,
Under Islam there is no separation of Mosque and state and their religion deserves all the criticism that it gets.

Mr. Hastings is dead wrong anyway. Evidently he's not much of a student of history. This IS a Christian nation, and said so right from the outset. The seperation of church and state refers to the idea that we were one of the first nations that had NO STATE RELIGION (like islam is in shariah countries) that everybody was required to follow. All religions are welcome in the US as long as they do not have a political agenda that requires a state religion, again, as muz countries do.....a la Saudi Arabia.

Dear Mr. Creed,
Many in our country are hoping Yum! Brands, Inc. and your Long John
Silver brand won't be the next company to cave into the wishes of a few
who came to this country on their own like so many before them. They
were not forced to come here. Never before has our nation had to deal
with a group of people and their religion trying to divide us and
conquer us from within, with their stated goal of "Islam will dominate the
world." They are coming to this Christian founded nation by the droves
with a single goal. Your company did nothing wrong sir! Before them men,
women and their children came to this country for one reason, freedom
and a chance of a better life and adapted, participated and fell in love
with their new country. This group and their religion have come for a
different reason. It's not freedom and they expect us to adapt to them
and their reason sir. Turn the table around on them and the ACLU and
tell them eye to eye or face to face it's them that needs sensitivity
training to this 90% Christian nation not you or us. Be the American
company that steps up and just says no to them and remind them they are
just as free to leave as they where to come and you will be conducting
your business as usual. America's Christians will stand behind you and
support you if you ask and don't let nothing but fear hold you back from
asking us. If you do the end result will be good for America and your
brands having even greater success now and in the future and America
will not forget. It's in your hands as a company and we are with you,
just ask.

Merry Christmas,

Tonto,
Mr. Hastings lives in this fantasy world where Islam is the same as all other religions. He once gave an Islamic professor my email address to try and explain to me that Islam is not a threat. When I presented them with the facts they both ran away.

Click on his name to see his profile, it is a shame that such a naive person can teach our youth.

Anonymous,
That is great work. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Yeah, I see. A typical libtard. The problem with liberals is that they know so much that's wrong. These guys that spent their entire lives in the scholastic Ivory Tower, and never hit a lick of real work in their lives, have no contact with my reality. A stretch in the Marines would help them out greatly....if they could pass the physical.

Christopher Logan said...

Tonto,
The best he can come up with is that it is not all Muslims. Well obviously that does not matter. Just look at Europe.

I'm offended that they are offended about something that I hold dear as do a majority of
Americans. Does that make it a offensive"stand-off"? id

oh, how big crime they did by putting quotes from ''holy bible''??

those muz are still narrow minded and think they r only human... and they proves it by killing non-muz...

lmao

btw, merry christmas and winter break...

Christopher Logan,

Thank you for the compliment and Merry Christmas to you and your family too! I looked at your profile and all I can say is way cool! America needs more like you.

Fine...take the toy out, add bacon or a free pork chop.

Christopher Logan said...

Anonymous,
Thank you. A friend and I are going to be doing a weekly radio show in about a month.

Saajan,
Same to you and your family.

Christopher Logan said...

Mr. Hastings,
Please explain how calling someone a dimwit is worse than trying to impose a set of barbaric laws on the world?

Christopher Logan,

We have been more than tolerant to them, besides being silent as a nation. We sit back and just let them do their bidding to change us and this nation for them. Isn't it time we start turning the table around by telling them we are bothered by their beliefs and customs too? Isn't it time for example to tell them we are bothered by their displays of say washing their feet in the restrooms of our public colleges, schools and facilities and request them to take sensitivity training for our customs and beliefs? That was just an example but, do you have any idea's of your own as to how we can turn the table on them, because two can play that game.

That's what I said, The minute thay say they are offended by something, we should lodge a complaint stating that we are offended by whatever they are doing to change are way of life:
foot baths, the loud call to prayer
disrupting our formerly quite neighborhoods, etc. Don't stand for
it!!! I'M OFFENDED!!! Let's start
a "I"M OFFENDED" campaign. id

Please give me a day, I am working on something.
