CAIR Wants to Silence Internet and Talk Radio Critics of Islam

Just like President Obama and his crew want to silence the opposition, so does the Council on American Islamic Relations, (CAIR). It is very telling that neither Obama or CAIR has said a word about the Islamic preachers of hate in America. Just like in Europe, the left and Muslims will work hand in hand to try and destroy life as we know it.

Muslim organization blames talk radio in attacks
After attacks on Muslims in New York and California, a spokesman for the Council on American-Islamic Relations is targeting what he says is “growing anti-Muslim rhetoric” on the Internet and talk radio.

CAIR is seeking federal hate crime charges in the attacks on a mother and daughter in Smithtown, N.Y., and a taxi driver in Pleasanton, Calif.

In a statement on Monday, CAIR spokesman Ibrahim Hooper said “Our nation’s religious, political and community leaders need to address the growing anti-Muslim rhetoric on the Internet and on talk radio that can lead to such incidents.”

Muslims to Turn Capitol Hill in Giant Outdoor Mosque!

Inspired by President Obama's pro-Islamic speech in Cairo, approximately 50,000 Muslims are expecting to attend a prayer service outside Capital Hill. They claim that this is about them loving America. If they really loved America as we know it, they would be in the streets protesting against the Sharia push, and the Islamic preachers of hate in America. But they do not, this is all about them pushing Islam on America.

Elizabeth mosque organizes national prayer event in D.C.

A mosque in Elizabeth, Dar-ul-Islam, is spearheading a national prayer gathering next month in Washington, D.C., that organizers are billing as the first event of its kind -- organized prayer for tens of thousands of Muslims outside the U.S. Capitol building.

The event will not include political speeches or placards, just prayer, said Hassen Abdellah, president of Dar-ul-Islam and a main organizer of the event, which is scheduled for Sept. 25.

"Most of the time, when Muslims go to Washington, D.C., they go there to protest some type of event," Abdellah said. "This is not a protest. Never has the Islamic community prayed on Capitol Hill for the soul of America. We're Americans. We need to change the face of Islam so people don't feel every Muslim believes America is "the great Satan,' because we love America."

A permit from the Capitol Hill police, granted July 28, allows access to the area by the West Front of the Capitol building from 4 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sept. 25, but the main gathering will occur at 1 p.m., for the Friday prayer service.

Abdellah said he expects 50,000 people to attend, from mosques around the country, though non-Muslims are welcome, too. About 400 people are expected from his own mosque, which is raising money from donors to help pay the cost of the event, expected to surpass $200,000.

The gathering will occur by the site where presidents have been inaugurated since 1981. In fact, it was President Obama's words at his inauguration in January, and then his speech in Egypt in June, that led Abdellah and an area imam, Abdul Malik, to begin discussing the idea, Abdellah said.

"For the first time in my lifetime," Abdellah said, "I heard someone of his stature speaking about Islam and Muslims not in an adversarial sense, but in the sense of being welcome and acknowledging we are integral citizens in the society -- that we're gainfully employed, we're educated."

"He said he had his hand open to the Islamic world," he said. "The Islamic world wants to open their hand and shake it."

The website set up for the event, islamoncapitolhill.com, features a logo with a red, white and blue hand shaking a light brown hand, with the words to the preamble of the Constitution and a page of Arabic text in the background.

Mosque members have been working since July to organize the event, through e-mails, phone calls and visits to mosques and Muslim Students Associations in different states.

EEOC Rules in Muslims' Neb. Plant Issue

This is an update to last years Swift Plant story. If you are wondering why things are quite there this year, here is your answer.

"But he said the company has tried to accommodate workers, including by giving them space and time for prayer. Cashen said they've tried to educate non-Muslims about Muslim observances."

Advocates: EEOC rules in Muslims' Neb. plant issue
By JEAN ORTIZ

OMAHA, Neb. — Muslim advocates said Friday that federal officials determined a Nebraska meatpacking plant wasn't doing enough to accommodate the religious needs of its Muslim workers but stopped short of laying out specific recommendations.

The Chicago-based Council on American-Islamic Relations said the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission outlined its decision in a letter sent to the organization this week. The decision comes after a nearly yearlong investigation into conditions at the Grand Island JBS plant, where hundreds of Muslim workers walked out in protest last September because they weren't given time to pray.

"It's a favorable finding ... it's definitely a victory," said Rima Kapitan, an employment attorney who worked on the case for the council.

SNIP

Jill Cashen, a spokeswoman for the United Food and Commercial Workers Union, said discussions have already been successful and hopes the letter doesn't set them back.

"We believe we've built important bridges across the various work forces over the past year," she said.

Union officials said the plant employs about 2,700 non-management workers. About 250 Muslims currently work at the plant, down from about 500 the union said worked there last fall.

JBS spokesman Chandler Keys declined to say whether the company was considering rehiring workers who were fired after the walkout. But he said the company has tried to accommodate workers, including by giving them space and time for prayer. Cashen said they've tried to educate non-Muslims about Muslim observances.

Keys and Cashen said they believe the changes and ongoing discussion have helped, judging by the lack of reported problems now that Ramadan is under way.

What Islam Really Says About Jesus and his Return

By Christopher Logan

I have frequently spoken to Islamic apologists who say that their Muslim "friends" respect Jesus. Well they probably do, but it is not in the same way that Christians do. In the view of Muslims, Jesus is coming back as a Muslim and he will break the cross (destroy Christianity) and be a slave to Islam. He will also abolish the jizya, which will leave Jews and Christians with only two options. To convert to Islam or die.

Koran verse 9 29 calls for the extortion of Jew and Christians. (Jizya)

009.029
YUSUFALI:

Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.

Here is what the Islamic scriptures (The Hadiths) say about the return of Jesus.

Muslims believe that Jesus will come back to fight for Islam, not Christianity.

Book 37, Number 4310:
Narrated AbuHurayrah:

The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: There is no prophet between me and him, that is, Jesus (peace_be_upon_him). He will descent (to the earth). When you see him, recognise him: a man of medium height, reddish fair, wearing two light yellow garments, looking as if drops were falling down from his head though it will not be wet. He will fight the people for the cause of Islam. He will break the cross, kill swine, and abolish jizyah. Allah will perish all religions except Islam. He will destroy the Antichrist and will live on the earth for forty years and then he will die. The Muslims will pray over him.

Volume 4, Book 55, Number 657:
Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah's Apostle said, "By Him in Whose Hands my soul is, surely (Jesus,) the son of Mary will soon descend amongst you and will judge mankind justly (as a Just Ruler); he will break the Cross and kill the pigs and there will be no Jizya (i.e. taxation taken from non Muslims). Money will be in abundance so that nobody will accept it, and a single prostration to Allah (in prayer) will be better than the whole world and whatever is in it." Abu Huraira added "If you wish, you can recite (this verse of the Holy Book): -- 'And there is none Of the people of the Scriptures (Jews and Christians) But must believe in him (i.e Jesus as an Apostle of Allah and a human being) Before his death. And on the Day of Judgment He will be a witness Against them." (4.159) (See Fateh Al Bari, Page 302 Vol 7)

Then when judgment day arrives Jesus will judge the people by the words of the Koran and not of the Holy Bible.

Volume 4, Book 55, Number 658:
Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah's Apostle said "How will you be when the son of Mary (i.e. Jesus) descends amongst you and he will judge people by the Law of the Quran and not by the law of Gospel (Fateh-ul Bari page 304 and 305 Vol 7)

Please don't be fooled when Muslims says that they respect Jesus also. They are only playing word games with you.

Exclusive! Islamic Anti-Israel Propaganda Email

Occasionally readers send me Islamic propaganda that they have received as an email.
In the past I have posted an Al Qaeda recruitment email that is being spammed to African email addresses. Today the email is about the "two-state solution" between Israel and the Palestinians, in which the Muslim who wrote this is completely against. Obviously they have the same views as Hamas does.

"two states solution " , is no solution !

The French-Resistance,
did not negociate for Peace.....

Some are planing and promoting
The Two States Solution :
1- the State of Israel
side by side with,
2- the Occupied and castrated State of Palestine

Some are for the One State Solution
which will be either
1- Israel without any Palestinians
or
2- Palestine re-liberated and sovereign

Personally , I am for the Arab State of Palestine
where , who ever is not an Arab , nor does he feel as such,
may go back to where he came from !!!

In case ,a non-Arab accepts and respects
the Palestinian- sovereignty over Palestine ,
he or she may stay......
like in South Africa or in today's Hong Kong ,
or Algeria after the liberation
or Egypt after Nasser.

In the meantime , any peace-negociations have
only made the Arabs to loose their time
and made the State of Israel gain some roots on our soil.......

Therefore ,
please, pick up a Kalashnikov and then ,
join Hamas , DFLP, PFLP or Hezbollah

and see how close you come to Peace, after the Liberation.

US Military Leaders Bowing Down to Islam

By Christopher Logan

As I write this article I want to make it clear that I don't blame the US Military as a whole for this. This is directed towards the decision makers, who clearly do not understand two things. The first is Islam itself, and the second being that catering to Muslims does not work. It just leads to non-Muslims becoming more like Muslims.

In the last two months there has been an upsurge in the idea department of pleasing the Islamic world. Yesterday it was revealed that the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Adm. Mike Mullen had stated that the US has to get more credibility with the Islamic world.

"Our messages lack credibility because we haven't invested enough in building trust and relationships, and we haven't always delivered on promises," he added.

Does Adm. Mullen even begin to realize that non-Muslims have been reaching out to Muslims for centuries? Obviously it does not change things as the threat of Islamic takeover has spread across the world and is even in our own backyard.

Adm. Mullen has even gone as far as to say that the Islamic world demands appreciation and that we need to show it to them. This approach sounds awfully familiar. Take a good look at the UK to see how well bowing down to Muslims has worked out.

Mullen said the Muslim community is "a subtle world" that demands appreciation. The U.S. must demonstrate that appreciation if it wishes to succeed at supplanting the "extremist narrative."

Unfortunately Adm. Mullen is not the only military leader who has gone down this path. Maj. Gen. Jeffery Hammond, commanding general of the 4th Infantry Division has become a mouthpiece of Islam, as he is promoting it to his troops.

At the Fort Carson military base in Colorado, Maj. Gen. Hammond actually brought in local Muslim leaders to "educate" thousands of US soldiers on Islam.

"We want to talk to (soldiers) about this beautiful religion", Hammond said at the one-hour meeting...

Does Maj. Gen. Hammond think that extortion, lying, rape, and terrorism are beautiful? Because Islam allows all of these things. Did the local Muslims who came to the base to "educate" our troops happen to mention these facts? Of course not.

As usual Muslims have an endless list of demands and as usual our leaders fall for it over and over again.

Hammond agreed with the Muslim leaders that greater cultural sensitivity is needed, and he said he wants the Army and Muslim leaders to continue working together to teach soldiers about Islam.

Maj. Gen. Hammond also has not realized the major differences between the non-Islamic world and the Islamic world.

"This is a great step forward," he told Hammond. "We have more in common than we know."

To be honest Maj. Gen. Hammond sounds more like a politically correct politician than a military leader.

The act of catering and being "sensitive" to Muslims has hit the battlefield in Afghanistan. As female US Marines are donning headscarves in an effort to get Muslims to like them.

"It's part of the effort to show we're sensitive to local culture," said Capt. Jennifer Gregoire, of East Strasburg, Pennsylvania. She leads the Female Engagement Team in the Now Zad Valley of Helmand province, the heartland of the Taliban insurgency.

If non-Muslims have to act like Muslims and even promote Islam as Maj. Gen. Hammond is doing to get them to like us, we shouldn't be there in the first place. As this is not promoting freedom, it is playing into the hand of a religion that calls for the dominance of non-Muslims. Unfortunately this will never work, just ask India and Israel.

European Human Rights Conference to Combat Discrimination Against Muslims

Yes, you read the title correctly. Apparently the intolerance of Islam is allowed across Europe, and basically Europe is silent about it, as no one wants to "offend" Muslims. Now a European human rights conference wants to ensure that Muslims are protected, even as Europe falls to Islam.

Hat tip to Savvy.

EUROPEAN HUMAN RIGHTS CONFERENCE
Europe's largest human rights conference to take place 28 September - 9 October 2009.

The 2009 Human Dimension Implementation Meeting (HDIM), organized by the OSCE's Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), will take place in Warsaw, Poland, 28 September to 9 October.

The HDIM is Europe's largest human rights conference and is a forum where representatives from government, civil society and international organizations discuss the implementation of OSCE commitments in the human dimension. It is the single most important yearly OSCE event focusing on human rights and democracy in Europe, North America, and Central Asia. OSCE will review how and to what extent governments in the region have put their human rights and democracy commitments into practice.

OSCE commitments to combat intolerance and discrimination and promote mutual respect and understanding will be discussed on 5 October. During this session ODIHR intends to present an advanced version of its annual hate crime report and draft guidelines for educators to combat intolerance and discrimination against Muslims.

A Quick Reminder From the UK

Muslims terrorize the police.

Michigan Muslims Mourn Pro-Iranian Iraqi Religious Leader

Hundreds of Muslims in Michigan are expected to attend a memorial for Abdul Aziz al-Hakim. Al-Hakim was an Iraqi religious leader who also lead the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq. The council is backed by Iran and they are said to follow the teachings of the now deceased Supreme Ruler Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.

It is very telling that American Muslims find the time to come out in support of this man, or pro-Hezbollah and anti-Israel protests. But they do not say a word about the Islamic preachers of hate within America.

Michigan Shi'ite Muslims mourn Iraqi leader’s death
BY NIRAJ WARIKOO

Memorials are planned for tonight and Friday in Dearborn as local Shi’ite Muslims mourn the death of Abdul Aziz al-Hakim, an Iraqi religious and political leader who is well-known in metro Detroit’s Shi’ite communities.

Hakim, who once headed Iraq’s biggest political party, visited Michigan in December 2006, speaking at local Lebanese Shi’ite, Iraqi and Chaldean centers after meeting with then President George W. Bush. Hakim, 59, died Wednesday.

It’s a great loss,” said Imam Husham Al-Husainy, head of the Karbalaa Islamic Education Center in Dearborn. “It’s very sad. People are crying and coming into the center.”

Hundreds are expected to attend the services at the Karbalaa center in Dearborn. And many are watching the funeral services in Iran on satellite TV stations, Al-Husainy said
.

Hakim was head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, formerly known as SCIRI, Supreme Council for Islamic Revolution in Iraq. He hailed from a prominent Shi’ite family of scholars and teachers.

Hakim was a prominent supporter of the Iraq war and met often with U.S. leaders.

Al-Husainy compared the death of Hakim to the death this week of U.S. Sen. Ted Kennedy, in that both came from noted political families.

As the Kennedy family is to America … the Hakim family is to Iraq,” Al-Husainy said.

Many of Hakim’s family members were killed by the former regime of Saddam Hussein, and he spent his life trying to win freedom for Iraqis, Al-Husainy said.

In metro Detroit, Shi’ites of Iraqi descent admired him, as did Lebanese-American Shi’ites.

In December 2006, Hakim spoke to Shi’ite Muslims at Bint Jebail Cultural Center in Dearborn, a hall named after a town in southern Lebanon largely populated by Shi'ite Muslims.

He told the crowd that Al Qaeda and remnants of the former regime of Saddam Hussein are behind the terrorist violence in Iraq.

“It's not the Shi'ites doing this,” Hakim said through a translator. “It's not the Sunnis doing this. It's the terrorists, the outsiders.”

Hakim also spoke to Chaldeans, Iraqi Catholics, in Southfield and West Bloomfield, and at the Karbalaa Islamic Education Center in Dearborn.

Hakim stressed religious and ethnic unity in his talk, noting that Shi'ites, Sunnis, Arabs, Kurds, Turkomen and Christians have long lived together in Iraq.

The recent violence between the groups is an aberration -- not the historical norm -- he said.

“We have nothing against each other,” Hakim said. “We go back hundreds of years, living together.”

Hakim’s son, Amar al-Hakim, viewed as a popular successor, also visited metro Detroit, speaking at local centers in August 2005. And decades ago, Hakim’s older brother, Mahdi Al-Hakim, also visited metro Detroit, meeting with local imams, Al-Husainy recalled.

US Envoy 'in angry Karzai talks'

Recently we were informed that female US Marines are wearing headscarves in Afghanistan, and that President Karzi wants to set the rules for our troops over there.

Apparently though we have to bend over backwards even more as President Karzai has blown a fuse when questioned about possible voter fraud in the recent Afghan election. Excuse me, but Karzai is nothing without US blood and money. Aren't we supposed to be calling the shots there? Once again Obama and Co. get no respect.

Hat tip to the Wrath.

US envoy 'in angry Karzai talks'
By Ian Pannell
BBC News, Kabul

The US special envoy to Afghanistan has held an "explosive" meeting with Afghan President Hamid Karzai over the country's election, the BBC has learnt.

Richard Holbrooke raised concerns about ballot-stuffing and fraud, by a number of candidates' teams
, sources say.

The US envoy also said a second-round run-off could make the election process more credible, the sources said.

Concerns have already been raised about Afghanistan's election, although final results are not due until September.

A number of senior sources have confirmed the details of a meeting between Mr Holbrooke and Mr Karzai held on 21 August, one day after the election.

The meeting was described as "explosive" and "a dramatic bust-up".

Mr Holbrooke is said to have twice raised the idea of holding a second round run-off because of concerns about the voting process.

He is believed to have complained about the use of fraud and ballot stuffing by some members of the president's campaign team, as well as other candidates.

Mr Karzai reacted very angrily and the meeting ended shortly afterwards, the sources said.

However, a spokeswoman for the US embassy in Kabul denied there had been any shouting or that Mr Holbrooke had stormed out.

She refused to discuss the details of the meeting.

A spokesman for the presidential palace denied the account of the conversation.
There have been many doubts raised about the Afghan presidential election, about the turnout and irregularities.

But this is the first time that a leading Western official has apparently expressed it quite so openly.

It will raise more questions about the credibility of the whole process and could well make the plan to establish a meaningful government in a stable country all the harder to achieve.

Young Afghan Freed From Gitmo to sue US Govt

With the help of a US military lawyer a newly released Afghan Gitmo detainee will be suing the US government for his detention. Since the US has foolish started releasing the names of terror suspects being held in Afghanistan and Iraq, expect a flood of lawsuits to be filed soon. The destruction from within continues.

Young Afghan freed from Guantanamo to sue US gov't

KABUL – The family of one of the youngest prisoners ever held at Guantanamo plans to sue the U.S. government to compensate him for mistreatment and an adolescence lost to nearly seven years in a cell, his lawyers said Thursday.

Mohammed Jawad returned to Afghanistan this week after a military judge ruled that he was coerced into confessing that he threw a grenade at an unmarked vehicle in the capital in 2002. The attack wounded two American soldiers and their interpreter.

Afghan police delivered Jawad into U.S. custody and about a month later he was sent to the U.S. detention center at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Jawad and his family say he was 12 when he was arrested, and that he is now 19 years old. The Pentagon has said a bone scan showed he was about 17 when taken into custody. His defense lawyers decline to give an exact age for Jawad, who does not have a birth certificate, but say photos taken in Guantanamo showed that he had not gone through puberty.

"I was an innocent child when they put me in prison," Jawad told The Associated Press in an interview at the offices of an Afghan lawyer association. A round-cheeked man with a scraggly beard, Jawad spoke tentatively, glancing at his lawyer.

He wore a white robe and a traditional beaded cap as he sat stiffly on an office couch.

Lawyers and family members say Jawad was submitted to various types of torture while imprisoned, including sleep deprivation and beatings.

The family plans to sue for compensation in U.S. courts, said Maj. Eric Montalvo, one of the military lawyers who was defending Jawad. Montalvo, who finishes his military service this month and has already joined a private firm, said he will aid in the process but will not necessarily file the suit.

"I will not allow him not to be assisted
," Montalvo said, explaining that Jawad needs intensive psychological counseling and tutoring to make up for his lack of schooling. Jawad said he wants to become a doctor because he was impressed by the way doctors at Guantanamo helped people.

Justice Department officials have said the criminal investigation of Jawad is still open but his transfer back to Afghanistan makes prosecution unlikely. The judge who ordered him released said the government's case was an "outrage" and "full of holes."

No Muslims at Malaysia Black Eyed Peas Concert

Not only have the Malaysian authorities been cracking down on beer drinkers and Christians. They have now banned all Muslims from attending a Black Eyed Peas concert. Yep, this is more proof that "moderate" Islam is coming to save the day.

No Muslims at Malaysia Black Eyed Peas concert

KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters) – Muslims in Malaysia have been barred from attending a concert by U.S. hip hop band the Black Eyed Peas sponsored by Guinness which is owned by the world's biggest spirits group Diageo.

The move comes after a Malaysian Islamic court sentenced a 32-year Muslim woman to be caned after she was caught drinking beer in a hotel and at a time when an opposition Islamic party has moved against beer sales.

The concert, part of celebrations of Guinness 250th birthday, asks on its website (www.arthursday.com.my) "Are you a non-Muslim aged 18 years and above?" and if the response is no, access is not allowed>.

Muslims account for 55 percent of the 27 million people in this Southeast Asian country and are barred from consuming alcohol although the rules are regularly flouted, especially in big cities like the capital, Kuala Lumpur.

Malaysia's Guinness Anchor which sells Guinness and other brands here had sales of 1.2 billion Malaysian ringgit (210 million pounds) in 2008.

Even without alcohol, foreign bands are subject to scrutiny. Earlier this week, the Pan Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS) said it wanted Danish band Michael Learns to Rock banned from performing as it would cause immorality.

Since 2007, PAS, the country's second largest political group measured by party membership, has campaigned against performances by the likes of Beyonce, Rihanna, Gwen Stefani and Avril Lavigne.

US Military Names Secret Terror Suspects

Besides starting to release detainees from Gitmo, the US government has now decided to release the names of terror suspects held in Iraq and Afghanistan to the Red Cross. The is being done in the name of transparency as part of our politically correct wars. Our government just does not have it in them to fight to win and it is not fair to our troops. It is time to bring them back home.

US names secret terror suspects

The US military has begun notifying the Red Cross of the identities of terror suspects being held at secret camps in Iraq and Afghanistan, reports say.

The Red Cross, which has lobbied the Pentagon for years to give its staff access to all detention facilities, declined to confirm the changes.

The policy reportedly took effect this month with no public announcement.

Correspondents say that the move represents a victory for human rights groups seeking more US transparency.

The new approach is said to be part of a broad review of US detention and interrogation practice launched by the Obama administration.

Further scrutiny

Dozens of suspected foreign fighters captured in Iraq and Afghanistan are being held at so-called "temporary screening camps" run by US special forces at secret locations in Balad in Iraq and Bagram in Afghanistan.

Despite the change in policy, Red Cross officials are still not getting access to the highly secretive sites - something they do get at most other US military detention centres.

The Pentagon has previously said that providing information about these detainees could jeopardize counter-terrorism efforts.

It has refused to comment on the latest reports.

A spokeswoman for the Red Cross in Geneva told the BBC she could not comment on the reported changes, saying discussions about detention issues are always confidential.

This week, the detention policies of the former Bush administration are likely to come under further scrutiny with the publication of a CIA report dating from 2004 into its interrogation practices at that time.

It describes the physical and psychological abuse of detainees inside US-run facilities, including mock execution and, in one case, threatening a prisoner with a gun and a power drill.

Native Iraqi Muslim Sues Michigan Court over Headscarf

A native Iraqi Muslim woman is suing a Michigan Judge because he asked her to remove her headscarf. Recently a Michigan Supreme Court ruling gave judges the power to dictate what witnesses can and cannot wear while testifying .

Muslim woman told to remove scarf sues Mich. judge
By BEN LEUBSDORF

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. — A Muslim woman on Wednesday sued a Michigan judge for telling her to remove her headscarf in his courtroom, claiming he violated her First Amendment right to practice her religion.

Raneen Albaghdady, 32, says she felt humiliated when Wayne County Circuit Judge William Callahan ordered her to remove her hijab at a June 16 hearing in his Detroit courtroom. The headscarf, which does not cover the face, is worn by many Muslims in the U.S.

"This is the country and the land of freedom, and we're not supposed to be treated like this for the scarf," the Dearborn Heights woman said at a news conference Wednesday at the Southfield headquarters of the Council on American-Islamic Relation's Michigan chapter, which joined in the federal lawsuit against Callahan and Wayne County.

A courtroom video of the hearing shows Albaghdady appearing before Callahan wearing a loose headscarf.

"No hats allowed in the courtroom," Callahan told her.

"This one?" she asked, touching her scarf. "Ah, OK. It doesn't matter."

Albaghdady pushed back her headscarf for the rest of the hearing on her request to change her name. Callahan denied the request on technical grounds.

"Judge Callahan and the court have the greatest respect for spiritual practices and all religious preferences," Callahan said in a statement released by the court. "Had he been informed that the head covering had some religious significance, the judge would have permitted Ms. Albaghdady to continue wearing it in court."

Albaghdady, a native of Iraq, said Wednesday she was intimidated by Callahan and feared she would be arrested if she refused to remove her hijab.

"I come from a country where you can't say no to a judge in a courtroom," she said.
Some Muslims believe Islamic law requires women to wear a headscarf, veil or burqa in the presence of a man who is not a close relative.

The lawsuit asks a federal judge to order judges in Wayne County to allow the wearing of the headscarf in court.

Wayne County, which includes Detroit, is home to one of the nation's largest Muslim populations.

In another situation involving veils, the Michigan Supreme Court voted June 17 to give judges wide authority over the appearance of witnesses. The rule was adopted after a Muslim woman refused to remove her niqab, or face veil, while testifying in a 2006 small-claims case. Hamtramck District Judge Paul Paruk dismissed Ginnnah Muhammad's case as a result.

Albaghdady appeared before Callahan the day before the state Supreme Court approved the rule. Her lawsuit does not challenge it or address the issue of face veils, said her attorney, Nabih Ayad.

"That's for a later case," he said
.

4 "Islam is of the Devil" Shirt Wearing Students Sent Home

In this update to the 'Islam is of the Devil' Shirt Appears at Elementary School story, we are made aware to the fact that now a total of four students have been sent home for wearing the pro-Jesus anti-Islam shirts. Dr. Terry Jones the Senior Pastor of the Dove World Outreach Center who follows my site has told me that the Church is selling the shirts.

'Devil' shirts send kids home
Four students have been sent home in the first two days of class.

More children from the Dove World Outreach Center arrived Tuesday at area public schools with shirts bearing the message "Islam is of the Devil" and were sent home for violation of the school district's dress code when they declined to change clothes or cover the anti-Muslim statement on their clothing.

School district staff attorney Tom Wittmer said the shirts violated a district ban on clothing that may "disrupt the learning process" or cause other students to be "offended or distracted."

"Students have a right of free speech, and we have allowed students to come to school wearing clothes with messages," Wittmer said. "But this message is a divisive message that is likely to offend students. Principals, I feel reasonably, have deemed that a violation of the dress code."

SNIP

On their front, the T-shirts had a verse from the Gospel of John: "Jesus answered I am the way and the truth and the life; no one goes to the Father except through me," and this statement, "I stand in trust with Dove Outreach Center." The message "Islam is of the Devil" is on the back of the shirt.

On Monday, a 10-year-old fifth-grader at Talbot Elementary was sent home because of the shirt. On Tuesday, two Eastside High students and one Gainesville High student were sent home and a student at Westwood Middle had to change clothes because of the shirt, according to members of the Dove congregation.

Dove Senior Pastor Terry Jones said no local company "had the guts" to print the shirts. Dove member Wayne Sapp said he then ordered the shirts over the Internet from a company that allows individuals to design their own shirts. His daughter, Faith Sapp , 10, was the Talbot Elementary student sent home Monday. She said she was allowed to wear the shirt to school on Tuesday - with the Gospel message on the front visible but the anti-Islam message on the back covered.

He added that his children decided it was time to "stand up for what they believe instead of saying the rules might not let me do it" and said that society has grown "so tolerant of being tolerant" that free speech is eroding.

Iran:High Rates of Unemployment, Drug use and sex Changes

It is just sad what the ex-Persian empire has become under Islamic rule.

Iranians Fume, Do Drugs, Have Sex Changes: Interview
Interview by Zinta Lundborg

Aug. 25 (Bloomberg) -- “I don’t think there’s anybody, Iranian or otherwise, expert or otherwise, who wasn’t really taken aback by this election,” says Hooman Majd.

Clad in a seersucker jacket accented with a colorful “dastmal Yazdi,” a silk handkerchief from the town famous for textiles, Majd came to Bloomberg’s world headquarters in New York to talk about the unfolding events in Iran -- the disputed election Mir Hossein Mousavi lost to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and subsequent protests -- and the paperback release of “The Ayatollah Begs to Differ: The Paradox of Modern Iran” (Anchor Books).

Though he has lived in the U.S. since the Islamic Revolution of 1979, Majd was born in Tehran, the grandson of an ayatollah, and travels back often to visit friends and family.

“On a road trip there in April, I found very little enthusiasm for Mousavi and for the election in general,” he notes. “A month later, things had completely changed.”

Lundborg: Why the turnaround?

Majd: The opposition kept asking: “Are you better off today than four years ago?”

A lot of people are generally unhappy, mostly about the economy. There’s 20-25 percent unemployment, and, I would say 50 percent underemployment in the country, with over 20 percent inflation. There was a general feeling that Ahmadinejad hadn’t governed properly.

SNIP

Sex Surgery

Lundborg: The ayatollahs filter the modern world through the Koran?

Majd: That’s their job. For example, obviously there were no sex-change operations at the time of Mohammed the Prophet. But when Khomeini was still alive, the issue of sex-change operations came up: Is this something Islam would allow and he decided yes. The government will even pay for it.

Lundborg: So are there a lot of male to female operations?

Majd: It’s mostly male to female, but there are a lot of female to male operations as well. Iranian doctors are considered among the top surgeons in the world for this
.

Lundborg: Scientific investigation is permitted?

Majd: Iran is one of the top countries in the world for stem-cell research and in vitro fertilization. The ayatollahs say Islam is pro-science and pro-modernity.

Illicit Drugs

Lundborg: I was surprised to read in your book that Iran is a big drug nation.

Majd: Unfortunately, the Islamic Republic doesn’t allow for a lot of public entertainment, so it has to be private in people’s homes. When it comes to really letting loose, you either have illicit alcohol or illicit drugs.

Lundborg: Why do Iranians want the bomb?

Majd: I’m not sure they want the bomb, but it’s a source of pride to join the nuclear powers. The people have long memories of being a great Persian empire. Iran has been a nation for over 2,500 years in a region where no country has been a country for more than 100 years.

Lundborg: They don’t worry about Israel taking action?

Majd: The Iranians have calculated the risks and they don’t think the Israelis can get away with it. They have many heavily fortified underground facilities spread throughout Iran. And if there were an attack, Iran would probably be on a fast track to building nuclear weapons.

Iran:Man to be Stoned for Adultery

Even though there were major post election protests in Iran, the Islamic Republic continues to exert their power within Iran.

Iranian man to be stoned to death despite moratorium
An Iranian man convicted of adultery is to be stoned to death despite a moratorium being agreed by the judiciary last year.
By Our Foreign Staff
24 Aug 2009

Naghi Ahmadi was sentenced to death by stoning in June last year in the northern city of Sari, after he visited a married woman's home in the night while her husband was away working in another city, the Sarmayeh newspaper reported.

According to Ahmadi's lawyer, the verdict was declared after the woman and his client confessed to their adultery. The report did not explain why the woman was not convicted.

A year ago the judiciary said it would scrap the punishment in Iran's new Islamic penal code.

The outlines of the moratorium have been adopted by the Tehran parliament but are yet to be debated by its members.

In a similar case in February, Abdollah Farivar was hanged in Sari after being sentenced to death by stoning following his conviction for having illicit relations with a teenage girl.

Capital offences in Iran include murder, rape, armed robbery, apostasy, blasphemy, serious drug trafficking, repeated sodomy, adultery, prostitution, treason and espionage.

Under Iran's existing law, adultery is still punishable by stoning, which involves the hurling of stones in public at a partially buried convict. A man is buried up to his waist and a woman up to her shoulders.

Convicts are spared if they can free themselves
.

Stoning has drawn international condemnation, with the United Nations and the European Union calling on Iran to abolish the sentence. Iranian human rights campaigners have also urged the Islamic republic to stop the punishment.

Thailand:Car Bomb Wounds 42

Almost everywhere that we look, from Thailand to Russia, to Iraq, we continue to see violence in the name of Islam. Violence that will not end, as the war with Islam is forever.

Sahih Bukhari Volume 1, Book 8, Number 387:
Narrated Anas bin Malik:

Allah’s Apostle said, “I have been ordered to fight the people till they say: ‘None has the right to be worshipped but Allah.’ And if they say so, pray like our prayers, face our Qibla and slaughter as we slaughter, then their blood and property will be sacred to us and we will not interfere with them except legally and their reckoning will be with Allah.” Narrated Maimun ibn Siyah that he asked Anas bin Malik, “O Abu Hamza! What makes the life and property of a person sacred?” He replied, “Whoever says, ‘None has the right to be worshipped but Allah’, faces our Qibla during the prayers, prays like us and eats our slaughtered animal, then he is a Muslim, and has got the same rights and obligations as other Muslims have.”

Car bomb wounds 42 in Thai south: army

NARATHIWAT, Thailand — A powerful car bomb ripped through a restaurant packed with government officials in Thailand's troubled Muslim-majority south Tuesday, wounding at least 42 people, the army said.

The blast was one of the most serious for months in the kingdom's insurgency-plagued provinces bordering Malaysia where a bloody separatist rebellion has been raging for more than five years.

The 50-kilogramme (110-pound) device was hidden inside a stolen Toyota pick-up truck and exploded during the busy lunch hour in the centre of Narathiwat, the main town in the province of the same name, officials said.

"It's very horrible. We had intelligence that militants would mount a large-scale attack," Lieutenant General Pichet Wisaichorn, the southern region army commander, told reporters.

He said that seven of the 42 people injured in the blast were in a critical condition. Most of the wounded were Buddhist government officials, who are often targeted by the Islamist militants in the region.

Police and rescue workers were rushing the wounded to hospital and the local government chief was among those injured, a policeman said on condition of anonymity.

The timing of the attack just after the start of the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan was "very interesting", said Sunai Phasuk, an analyst for Human Rights Watch in Thailand.

"We are in the holy month of Ramadan and the bomb went off clearly to harm the non-Muslim population," he told AFP.

"It shows the insurgents are avoiding causing collateral damage to their fellow Muslims, because they would come after the end of fasting
."

He said this Ramadan was "marked with violence from day one". Over the weekend, eight people, including two soldiers and three security volunteers, were killed by suspected insurgents.

"It seems they use Ramadan to symbolise the cleansing of non-Malay Muslims," Sunai added.

'Islam is of the Devil' Shirt Appears at Elementary School

Here is an update on the "Florida Anti-Islam Church Steps it up a Notch!" story.

'Islam is of the devil' shirt appears at elementary school

August 24, 2009

A student at Talbot Elementary School wore a shirt bearing the message "Islam is of the devil" on the first day of school and was sent home for violation of the school district's dress code.

Asked about a report of the dress code violation, School District spokeswoman Jackie Johnson confirmed that a student did wear a shirt with the anti-Islam message and was sent to the school office until a parent could come. Johnson said the student's parent had the option of bringing another shirt for the child to change into or taking the child home and opted to take the child home.

The Dove World Outreach Center, a church in northwest Gainesville, began to draw protesters in July after posting a sign that read "Islam is of the devil" on its property. The Dove World Outreach Center is approximately one mile from the Talbot campus. School district officials would not comment on the identity of the student, or whether the child was a member of the Dove Outreach Center congregation, because of privacy issues.

The School Board recently toughened the district's dress code. But a condition banning clothing school officials deem to be "offensive" or "disruptive" was already in the code before the revision.

Reached by phone late Monday afternoon, Stephanie Sapp, secretary at the Dove Outreach Center, declined immediate comment, saying she did not have time to discuss the matter.

Shiite Groups Announce new Alliance Minus Iraqi PM

Besides the recent major attack in Iraq in which Iraqi security forces took a bribe to help destroy their own country, we now have a major split in the government which includes anti-U.S. cleric Muqtada al-Sadr's bloc. This move could easily strengthen Iran's influence in Iraq. Like I have been saying, no more nation building with Muslims please.

Shiite groups announce new alliance minus Iraqi PM

By QASSIM ABDUL-ZAHRA
BAGHDAD – Major Iranian-backed Shiite groups announced a new alliance Monday but excluded the Iraqi prime minister in a rare display of disunity among the country's majority Islamic sect. The move puts pressure on Nouri al-Maliki to strike a deal with Sunni parties if he hopes to keep his job after January's parliamentary elections.

The announcement came as bombs on two buses exploded, killing at least 11 in southern Iraq. The blasts were just the latest bombings in recent weeks that have raised fears insurgents are trying to stoke sectarian violence that nearly tore the country apart two years ago.

The party realignment is a major shift in the Iraqi political scene, breaking up a Shiite coalition that has dominated Iraq's government since the fall of Saddam Hussein in 2003.

The new bloc, called the Iraqi National Alliance, will include the largest Shiite party, the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, or SIIC, and anti-U.S. cleric Muqtada al-Sadr's bloc, which both have close ties to Tehran, as well as some small Sunni and secular parties.

If the alliance does well in the Jan. 16 vote, Tehran could gain deeper influence in Iraq just as U.S. forces begin to withdraw. The last American soldier is scheduled to leave Iraq by the end of 2011.

It's also likely to worry Sunnis who largely consider the Supreme Council as little more than an instrument of Iranian policy — exacerbating sectarian divisions at a time when violence that had waned is again on the rise.

Left outside of the alliance, al-Maliki appears to be trying to cast himself as a Shiite leader who can draw in minority Sunnis and Kurds.

Al-Maliki's aides have said the prime minister is working to form a broad-based, national coalition in a bid to end sectarian politics.

Al-Maliki's Dawa Party did not join the new alliance because its leaders would not guarantee that he would remain prime minister if the bloc dominated the election, Shiite lawmaker Reda Jawad Taqi told The Associated Press.

One of al-Maliki's advisers, Hassan al-Sineid, said the prime minister and the leaders of the new alliance differed over "the mechanism of participation in the alliance and the need to open this alliance to include a broad range of political powers."

The realignment does not immediately threaten al-Maliki's position as prime minister, but points to stormy politics in the election campaign and beyond, as U.S. troops prepare to withdraw.

Dubai Bank says all female staff must wear abayas
By Bassma Al Jandaly, Staff Reporter
August 21, 2009, 22:50

Dubai: All female staff at Dubai Bank, Muslim and non-Muslim, must wear a shailah (head scarf) and abaya (black cloak covering the whole body) starting this Ramadan, Gulf News has learnt.

A memo sent to staff on Thursday says the bank has decided that all Muslim and non-Muslim female staff must wear a shailah and abaya
.

A Dubai Bank official who would not reveal his name said a memo was issued to this effect by the human resources manager, informing employees that starting from the first day of Ramadan all female employees must wear a shailah and abaya regardless of their religion.

"Our bank is Islamic and must follow Sharia in all respects, which will satisfy our clients," he said. While the decision takes effect beginning first of Ramadan, it has become a rule and part of the dress code for female employees at all times.

Gulf News contacted Dubai Bank on several occasions, but officials would not comment on the memo.

Gulf News has learnt that the proposal on the dress code was made by the bank's Fatwa and Sharia Supervisory Board in June and it was endorsed by the management. A circular was then issued on Thursday.

The Fatwa and Sharia Supervisory Board's proposal, a copy of which has been obtained by Gulf News, says the abaya should not have any embroidery or decoration on it and must not be coloured.

It says any female staff who does not adhere to this dress code should be advised by the human resources department at the bank to follow it.

If the staff member insists on not abiding by the law then the matter should be brought to the notice of the executive member of the Sharia supervisory board who can decide upon action to be taken against that staff.

The bank will encourage employees to wear a shailah and abaya by providing staff with them. The head of the human resources department has been instructed to ensure that employees adhere to the dress code.

The bank has given employees a grace period until after the Eid holiday after which it will become mandatory.

The proposal, signed by Shaikh Mohammad Taqi Usmani, Chairman of the Fatwa and Sharia Supervisory Board of Dubai Bank, says the move will gain customers' confidence and help market the bank's products.

Many customers, the proposal said, choose a bank based upon its appearance before considering other aspects. The dress code is essential in determining the bank's identity as a Sharia compliant institution.

CROSS BAN FOR CHURCH SCHOOLGIRL

Young Lauren banned from wearing her necklace
By Emily Fox

A CHURCH of England school has ordered a pupil to remove her necklace with a cross even though children of other faiths can wear religious jewellery.

Lauren Grimshaw-Brown, eight, was told by St Peter’s School in Chorley, Lancs, to wear a brooch instead on safety grounds.

Her furious mother Laina, 27, says the pin would be more risky.

She added: “A letter said that if she had been a Sikh she would be allowed to wear bangles.

“I’ve got no problem with any other religion wearing bangles but why can’t my daughter wear a necklace with a cross?

“After all, it’s a church-led school.

Head teacher Helen Wright said: “The best solution would be a brooch.”

Woman nabbed for chewing gum on the first day of Ramadan

Kuwait :A woman was arrested on the first day of Ramadan for breaking her fast by chewing gum.

According to sources, security officers from the Hawalli governorate spotted the woman chewing gum at 5:30 am while they were on patrol duty. When they questioned her about the act, she said she had the personal freedom to do as she pleased.

She was referred to the authorities and a case was registered.

Meanwhile, two Kuwaiti citizens were arrested for cases previously registered them.

According to sources, both citizens were stopped for identification by security officials on patrol duty. While verifying their documents, however, it was discovered that one citizen had a drug-related case registered against him for which he was sentenced to a prison term of 12 years. The other citizen had several civil cases registered against him.

Both the men were handed over to the authorities for further action.

Iraqi Suspect: It Cost $10,000 to Pass Checkpoints

Here is an unfortunate update to the "Iraq Says Security Forces may Have Aided Bombers" story.

Iraqi suspect: It cost $10,000 to pass checkpoints
By SINAN SALAHEDDIN

BAGHDAD – Attackers paid $10,000 to get a bomb-laden truck past checkpoints and next to the Iraqi Finance Ministry in last week's attacks, one of the suspected masterminds said in a confession broadcast Sunday.

Seeking to fend off widespread criticism over security lapses, the Iraqi military released what it said was the confession of a Sunni man it identified as the planner of one of the two suicide truck bombings targeting government buildings in Baghdad.

Iraqi lawmakers and other senior officials have traded blame and called for investigations into how the bombers were able to get the explosives-packed trucks so close to government institutions in the heart of the capital.

Maj. Gen. Qassim al-Moussawi, the chief military spokesman for Baghdad, said the man was a senior member of Saddam Hussein's ousted Baath Party who had confessed to supervising the attack against the Finance Ministry before his lawyer and the chief prosecutor.

Wednesday's twin bombings, which also devastated the Foreign Ministry, have battered Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki's efforts to portray himself as a champion of security before January's parliamentary elections and the government has been eager to assert control over the investigation, announcing arrests but giving few details.

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Adm. Mike Mullen, said he was extremely concerned by the attacks.

"The key is whether this is an indicator of future sectarian violence. And certainly, many of us believe that one way that this can come unwound is through sectarian violence," he said Sunday on CNN's "State of the Union." "The message is that the Iraqi leadership really has to take control and ensure security in their country."

The 57-year-old suspect, wearing a gray and white striped shirt, identified himself as Wisam Ali Khazim Ibrahim and said he was a Baath Party member and former police officer from the Diyala province city of Muqdadiyah, north of Baghdad.

The attackers paid $10,000 to a facilitator who knew the Iraqi security forces manning the checkpoints on the roads from Muqdadiyah to the Finance Ministry, Ibrahim said. That blast caused part of an overpass to collapse and killed nearly 30 people.

Ibrahim said the operation was ordered a month ago by a Baath Party operative in Syria in a bid "to destabilize the regime."

Iraq Says Security Forces may Have Aided Bombers

Besides the facts that our brave troops are laying their lives on the line in Iraq on a daily basis, and Christians are being persecuted there. The Iraq foreign minister has stated that members of the Iraqi security force may have aided the bombers in the recent attacks in Iraq. Just like in Afghanistan and Pakistan the violence goes on and on.

Iraq says security forces may have aided bombers
By SINAN SALAHEDDIN

BAGHDAD – The suicide bombers who blew up explosives-laden trucks outside government buildings in Baghdad may have been aided by members of Iraq's security forces, the foreign minister said Saturday, even as the government insisted Iraqi forces could still protect the nation.

Anger is mounting over the security lapses that allowed the bombers to drive trucks past checkpoints and position them close to government targets that included the foreign and finance ministries. Wednesday's attacks killed at least 101 people and wounded more than 500.

The violence has shaken confidence in a government eager to demonstrate that it can take over responsibility for the country's security from American troops, who withdrew form Iraq's cities nearly two months ago.

"We have to face the truth. There has been an obvious deterioration in the security situation in the past two months," Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari told reporters during a news conference at the damaged ministry building, which was opened Saturday for tours to journalists and some ministry employees.

Zebari said the attacks were so well planned and executed that he would not rule out the possible collaboration of members of Iraq's security forces with attackers.

"We will investigate that," he said.

Zebari said the ministry was investigating how the trucks carrying the bombs were allowed to pass into areas where they are banned from traveling.

He also warned Iraqis to prepare for more violence.

"What is coming might be bigger attacks, and the government needs to shoulder its responsibility and deal with the security inefficiencies."

Suicide bombings shake Chechnya

Back in April Russia pulled their troops out of Chechnya, in hope of having peace with the Muslims there. But once again we see that appeasement doesn't work with them.

Suicide Bombings Shake Chechnya

At least four policemen have been killed in two suicide bomb attacks in the capital of Russia's mainly Muslim republic of Chechnya, officials said.

Ruslan Alkhanov, the Chechen interior minister, said the two suicide attackers detonated their explosives on bicycles near checkpoints in the city of Grozny.

"One suicide bomb was detonated four metres from a police car, killing two officers," he said on Friday.

He said that two other police officers died and one was injured in the second attack.

Blood and body parts could be seen near the charred remains of a bicycle and a police car at the site one of the explosions.

Neave Barker, Al Jazeera's correspondent in Moscow, said: "This is certainly an indication of another significantly sized attack by insurgents against the pro-Kremlin authorities in the Caucasus."

Grozny, the Chechen capital, has seen a series of bombings in recent months, ending years of relative calm in the city during a rebuilding campaign by Ramzan Kadyrov, the regional president.

In Ramadan, the Best Dates in Egypt are 'Obama'

President Obama's Islamic ass kissing speech in Cairo has finally paid off. The Christian persecuting Muslims of Egypt, are now honoring Obama by naming their best dates (fruit) after him. In 2006 Hezbollah terrorist leader Hassan Nasrallah shared the same honor. This must be a proud day in Obama's life.

In Ramadan, the best dates in Egypt are 'Obama'
By HADEEL AL-SHALCHI Aug 21, 12:46 pm ET

CAIRO – For the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, Egyptian fruit sellers have named their best dates of the year after President Barack Obama in a sweet tribute to the American leader for his outreach to the Muslim world.

Dates are a traditional food for Ramadan — which begins Saturday in most of the Islamic world — since the Prophet Muhammad is said to have used them to break the month's sunrise-to-sunset fast each evening.

In Egypt, shops have created a new tradition of naming their best and worst dates to catch attention and boost sales — giving a little reflection of the political mood.

Obama's vault to the top of the Egyptian date-scale comes after he delivered a landmark address in Cairo in June, saying he wants to improve American ties with Muslims around the world. Those ties were deeply strained under his predecessor, George W. Bush, who was widely resented in the Arab world — and whose name was given to the worst quality dates in Egypt in past Ramadans.

"We love Obama and so we named our best dates for him," said Atif Hashim at his busy shop in downtown Cairo.

Huge barrels in his shop were piled with "Obama" dates, selling for just under $2.50 a pound ($5 a kilogram). For an additional dollar, there is an even better date, labeled on a sign as "Super Obama."

"We put a sweet date in Mr. Obama's mouth and a message in his ear," Hashim said. "Please help to bring peace to the world. We have a lot of hope in you."

Hashim named his poorer dates after Israeli Foreign Minister Avidgor Lieberman, a hard-liner who is particularly disliked in Egypt for once saying its president, Hosni Mubarak, can "go to hell."

Other low-quality dates were named after Lieberman's predecessor, Tzipi Livni, and after Bush. They all go for about 17 cents a pound (36 cents a kilogram).

In 2006, many sellers in Egypt named their best dates after the leader of the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, whose popularity soared among Arabs because his militants battled Israel in a devastating war that summer.

Obama's Ramadan Video Message to the Islamic World

President Obama has continued with his effort to whitewash Islam, as he has made a video "on behalf of the American people" to send best wishes to the Muslim world for the Islamic holiday of Ramadan.

In the message posted on the White House Web site, Obama says the rituals of Ramadan are a reminder of the principles Muslims and Christians have in common. He says those principles include advancing justice, progress, tolerance and the dignity of all human beings.

Obama did you miss this verse from the Koran?

Koran Verse 009.029

YUSUFALI: Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued.

PICKTHAL: Fight against such of those who have been given the Scripture as believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, and forbid not that which Allah hath forbidden by His messenger, and follow not the Religion of Truth, until they pay the tribute readily, being brought low.

SHAKIR: Fight those who do not believe in Allah, nor in the latter day, nor do they prohibit what Allah and His Messenger have prohibited, nor follow the religion of truth, out of those who have been given the Book, until they pay the tax in acknowledgment of superiority and they are in a state of subjection.

Did you not notice that non-Muslims are persecuted across the Islamic world? Obama please stop with the obvious lies, you are only making a fool of yourself.
