Considering that top Christian leaders in the UK actually backed the opening of the Sharia Courts there, I guess that this should come as no surprise. The slow suicide continues.
Hat tip to the Savvy one.
CROSS BAN FOR CHURCH SCHOOLGIRL
Young Lauren banned from wearing her necklace
By Emily Fox
A CHURCH of England school has ordered a pupil to remove her necklace with a cross even though children of other faiths can wear religious jewellery.
Lauren Grimshaw-Brown, eight, was told by St Peter’s School in Chorley, Lancs, to wear a brooch instead on safety grounds.
Her furious mother Laina, 27, says the pin would be more risky.
She added: “A letter said that if she had been a Sikh she would be allowed to wear bangles.
“I’ve got no problem with any other religion wearing bangles but why can’t my daughter wear a necklace with a cross?
“After all, it’s a church-led school.
Head teacher Helen Wright said: “The best solution would be a brooch.”

And the commends are gone... censorship!!!
(guess this christian does not like to hear he is wrong... maybe he has a case of christianfacism...)
WRONG! They were all copied and put into the Intense debate format. You might want to get a connection that allows you to view them.
BTW, the way I don't go around saying Islamofascism, unlike Juan Cole I put the blame where it belongs and that is Islam.
Next time try and comment on what the article is about.
Thank you.
I used that word up at the top for those new to the subject, but once they read more they will see that Islam itself is the problem.
name and address of the school? and the person who actually authorised the banning.
Then please explain to me why the banning of wearing a CHAIN (which happened to have a cross on it, but it's not the reason) is forbidden by a church of England school, (which is christian).
Please tell me why Islam is the problem there??
If a christian fell from a building, would you blame gravity? or Islam?
For Anonymous with the analogy about a Christian falling from a building -- that was a bad analogy.
The imposition of a physical action like falling from a building depends on so many other environmental factors, and yes islam could be one of them.
Forbidding the CHAIN was an excuse and appeasement of Muslims will get you nowhere but ass-in-the-air nose-to-the-ground dhimmi.
Live and Let Live. Freedom of Speech rules.
Anonymous, why don't you actually read the article? It says that a Sikh would be allowed to wear a bangles. They can hang from a chain.
Why don't you point out where I blamed Islam for this? The article does not specifically state why this was done. But once again Christians are shooting themselves in the foot.

A ring can also be worn on a chain.. but I am willing to bet a ring is allowed in this school when worn around a finger.
Christians are not looking to impose a set of barbaric religious laws on the world. Muslims are and that is where the focus of this site shall remain.
Have a good day.
Hey Anonymous,
If your want, repost your comment. I accidentally deleted it instead of my first one which had a typo in it.
Also Christians & Jews have NO DOCTRINE that says it is their duty to convert every human on the planet until there is none but Islam. What is more, the if any atheist can not see the use in the 10 Commandments and Judeo-Christian resulting Live and Let Live vs. Islam (convert or die) - then he/she has a real problem and needs to do some major reflection. This EPIC battle between Islam and The Remaining World is so EVIDENT if you know your current events and history w.r.t. geography. It is a NO BRAINER.
^^^^Thanks, some people just do not want to face this reality.
If christians have no desire to convert, how do you explain the missionairies sent to Africa?
Re: Christians and conversion. Anonymous: you are applying a blanket generalization to a phenomena that happens few and far between. There are some important and MAJOR differences between conversion as it applies to Christianity versus Islam. You are looking at one dot on the screen versus the whole picture, and that which is the following:
Christians convert NOT because they are commanded to do so by any preacher, church, bible or prophet.
Muslims who follow Islam and are not MINOS (muslims in name only) are commanded to convert until the
Quran 3:28 Don't have unbelieving friends unless it is to deceive them. Remember the final goal is to Allah.
Quran 4:89 Have no unbelieving friends. Kill the unbelievers wherever you find them.
Quran 9:33 ISLAM WILL PREVAIL OVER ALL RELIGIONS
"Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant. The Koran ... should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on earth. Everthing we need to know is in the Koran. We don't need to look somewhere else." Omar M. Ahmad, chairman of CAIR, the mainsteam Muslim advocacy group.
Isolated and minute episodes of missionaries are a small response to the actual doctrine of ALHIJRAH which reqjuires jihad/takeover/fighting for Islam through MIGRATION.
IF you are a Muslim, you KNOW this and don't need the explanation. IF you are not a Muslim, you have a lot to learn about Islam. An argument cannot be won with mirrors....stop deflecting and using opinions as facts.
Continuing from above:
People who are Muslim ("submitting to the will of God") say that everyone is born Muslim. They do not use the word "conversion" as much as "reversion" so they say EVERYONE IS ALREADY MUSLIM but they are disobeying the will of God by not submitting. Non-believers/ Infidels are HATED and smited by Muslims in Islam. MINOs in America are being shunned by those Islamic nations ruled by Islam because they are not being Islamic enough and not converting enough Americans to the ummah.
Anonymous --You sound as if you are quick to accept any opposing opinion as fact - when you need to learn a whole lot more --
It is a "force of thought" that you cannot even compare to conversion as it happens through the LOVE and respect of humans (no matter their book cover or what is inside the book) that is inherent in Christian conversion processes.
