Palestinians recommend calling off upcoming vote

RAMALLAH, West Bank – Palestinian election officials on Thursday recommended calling off January's presidential vote, a step that could result in embattled President Mahmoud Abbas staying in office indefinitely.

Abbas had vowed not to run for re-election because of his frustration with stalled peace efforts, but few think he will resign outright if no election is held.

Hanna Nasser, chairman of the Palestinian election commission, blamed the rival Hamas militant group for holding up the vote. He said Hamas, which controls the Gaza Strip, had refused to cooperate with election workers, making it impossible to hold the Jan. 24 election.

"We planned to go to Gaza to figure out how we can conduct elections there," Nasser said. "In the meantime, we received an answer from Hamas that we are not welcome in Gaza. It is clear now that we cannot hold an election in Gaza."

Nasser did not propose a new date for the balloting, in effect recommending that the election be postponed indefinitely.

The Palestinians have been divided between two governments since Hamas violently seized control of Gaza in 2007 from Abbas' Fatah movement. Abbas' Western-backed government controls only the West Bank. The Palestinians hope to establish an independent state in both territories, located on opposite sides of Israel, with east Jerusalem as their capital.

Abbas set the election last month after the latest round of reconciliation efforts with Hamas failed. Hamas has repeatedly said it would not cooperate with the vote.In Gaza, Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri said his group opposed the election because it was declared unilaterally by one side. "Without reconciliation, there will be no election."

Abbas must still approve the commission's recommendation. But if he does, he will likely remain in office indefinitely. Abbas was in neighboring Jordan on Thursday and did not immediately comment.

"President Abbas will make the appropriate decision after he returns," said his spokesman, Nabil Abu Rdeneh. "Hamas' decision to ban the election commission from working in Gaza proves that Hamas is not eager to reach national unity and reconciliation."

In the meantime , any peace-negociations have
only made the Arabs to loose their time
and made the State of Israel gain some roots on our soil.......

Former Pink Floyd Frontman Blasts Israel Wall

Here we have another celebrity getting involved in something that he obviously knows little about. My advice to Roger Waters to do some research on Hamas. A good place to start would be with their charter.

UN Documents Separation Wall Crimes

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM – The United Nations has premier a documentary on the plight of Palestinians living in the shadow of Israel's separation wall built on their lands in the occupied West Bank.

"The reason for walls is always fear, whether the personal walls that we build around ourselves or walls like this that frightened governments build around themselves," says former Pink Floyd frontman Roger Waters, the film narrator.

"They are always expressions of a deep-seated insecurity."

The 15-minute documentary, “Walled Horizons”, opens with a wide shot of Waters walking along a towering concrete segment of the controversial barrier beneath the painted silhouette of a giant lying on its back.

The filmmakers interview a Palestinian farmer who has lost several hectares of land to the Israeli wall and a family caught in the 'seam line' between the wall and the 1967 Green Line separating Israel from the West Bank.

The documentary concludes with a shot of scores of Palestinians packed into a fenced-in corridor waiting to pass through an Israeli checkpoint.

The 700km-long Israeli separation barrier is a mix of electronic fences, concrete walls, trenches, and closed military roads.

According to UN figures, Israel has so far completed 413 kilometers of the barrier.

"It fills me with horror, the thought of living in a giant prison," said Waters as he spray-paints "We don't need no thought control" on the wall.

Waters is an English rock musician best known as the bassist player and one of the main songwriters and lead singers in the Pink Floyd from 1964 to 1985.

He is known with his progressive rock music, philosophical lyrics, and humanitarian interests.

Pastor Rick Warren Spending the 4Th With Islamists

While Christianity is oppressed across the Islamic world, mega-pastor Rick Warren will be spending this Four of July with his Islamist buddies. Buddies who have ties to Hamas. Also on the guest list is Brooklyn Imam Siraj Wahhaj who is no friend of America or non-Muslims.

In September 1991 Wahhaj stated the following:

"…And [Allah] declared 'Whoever is at war with my friends, I declare war on them.' ... Your true friend is Allah, the messenger, and those who believe.... Hear what I'm telling you well. The Americans are not your friends ... The Canadians are not your friends ... The Europeans are not your friends. Your friend is Allah, the Messenger and those who believe. These people will never be satisfied with you until you follow their religion ..."

In a 1992 address to an audience of Muslims in New Jersey, Wahhaj expressed his desire to see Muslims seize control of the United States and replace its constitutional government with an Islamic caliphate. “If we were united and strong,” Wahhaj said, “we'd elect our own emir [leader] and give allegiance to him.... [T]ake my word, if 6-8 million Muslims unite in America, the country will come to us.”

Mr. Warren you really need to choose your friends better.

Muslim gathering to reach out to others

The country's largest Muslim group will mount an unprecedented outreach to Christians and Jews this weekend at its annual conference, featuring an appearance by the Rev. Rick Warren, one of America's best-known evangelical Protestant pastors, at the main session Saturday night.

Mohamed Elsanousi, spokesman for the Islamic Society of North America, said the group invited the pastor to speak before 30,000 Muslims at the Washington Convention Center because Mr. Warren is doing good things across the globe.

"We know he's doing good things in helping the poor," Mr. Elsanousi said.

This year's convention is ISNA's largest effort in terms of sheer numbers of non-Muslim speakers, he added. The organization is sponsoring a private interfaith reception for 400 additional leaders from various religions on Sunday afternoon.

"Muslims feel proud to welcome people of other faiths," Mr. Elsanousi said. "We hope this invitation will resonate with the message we are trying to send out: That we need to work together for the common good."

Mr. Warren, pastor of the 24,000-member Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, Calif., will be speaking on how America should maintain its independence, the spokesman added.

Mr. Warren had invited ISNA interfaith leader Sayyid Syeed to a Saddleback Civil Forum on Global Health at the Newseum on Dec. 1. ISNA reciprocated by giving the evangelist a choice spot in this weekend's program, Mr. Elsanousi said.

The pastor is part of a guest list for several workshops scheduled throughout the event. Those invited include Yale Divinity School theologian Miroslav Volf; Evangelical Lutheran Church of America Presiding Bishop Mark S. Hanson; Lutheran pastor and Bread for the World President David Beckmann; religious freedom advocate Chris Seiple; and former National Council of Churches President Bob Edgar.

Four rabbis are also scheduled to attend. A Sunday afternoon Muslim-Jewish dialogue includes Rabbi Jack Moline of Agudas Achim Congregation in Alexandria and board chairman of the Interfaith Alliance; Jewish Theological Seminary professor Rabbi Burt Visotzky; and Rabbi Gerry Serotta of Shirat HaNefesh, a congregation in Silver Spring. Another rabbi, Marc Schneier of the Foundation for Ethnic Understanding, will speak Sunday morning on interfaith relations.

"ISNA has been really thoughtful about their process," Rabbi Visotzky said. "They are very conscious about reaching out to the wider religious community. I've sat on panel with Mohamed Elsanousi when people were talking about Islamophobia at the University of Florida. We were happy to be on a panel together to show Jews and Muslims didn't have to be in opposition to one another.

"Sayyid Syeed has been welcoming in encouraging us to do more with the Muslim community. It is not just liberals who want to be engaged in dialogue but the conservatives, too."

Mr. Warren, who delivered the opening prayer at President Obama's inauguration, has yet to comment directly about the ISNA event. He said last week at a conference of 800 Anglicans in Bedford, Texas, that he speaks to groups that differ with him "to build a bridge of love between my heart and theirs so Jesus can walk across."

Mr. Warren will be onstage for a session titled "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness" alongside Islamic scholar Hamza Yusuf, ISNA President Ingrid Mattson, Imam Zaid Shakir of Hayward, Calif., and Brooklyn Imam Siraj Wahhaj.

Mr. Wahhaj was the first Muslim to recite the opening prayer before a meeting of the U.S. House of Representatives in 1991.

Encountering Hamas in Teheran is tantamount to meeting an African American at a KKK gathering.

And yet, the Sunni terrorist group from the Palestinian Authority is now joining hands with the Shi’ite mullahs of Iran to crush street protests in favor of opposition candidate Mir Hossein Mousavi and to solidify the re-election of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

This development was reported by the Jerusalem Post and other international news outlets as rioting on a scale unseen in Iran for nearly a decade continued in the wake of the elections and the allegations that the results were falsified.

The protests have now spread from Teheran to other major cities.

Hamas formally welcomed incumbent the re-election of Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad last Saturday.

Other Iranian protesters - - including a young man who carried a kitchen knife in one hand and a stone in the other, also testified to the presence of Hamas in Teheran. A young man who carried a butcher knife in one hand and a rock in the other said, “My brother had his ribs beaten in by those Palestinian animals. Taking our people’s money is not enough - - they are thirsty for our blood too.”

When asked if these militia fighters could have been mistaken for Lebanese Shi’ites, sent by Hezbollah, he rejected the idea. “Ask anyone, they will tell you the same thing. They [Palestinian extremists] are out beating Iranians in the streets… The more we gave this arrogant race, the more they want… [But] we will not let them push us around in our own country.”

In recent years, Iran has given shelter to leading Sunni terrorists, including Saad bin Laden, Osama’s eldest son; Yaaz bin Safat, a top-ranking al Qaeda planner; Mohammed Islam Haani, the mayor of Kabul during the reign of the Taliban; Saif al-Adel, the military commander of al Qaeda; Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the al Qaeda operative in charge of the expulsion of US troops from Iraq; and Ayman al-Zawahiri, bin Laden’s second in command.

And so, for many observers of events in the Middle East, the presence of Hamas on the streets of Iran to support Ahmadinejad and the ruling mullahs comes as small surprise.

“We have been screaming at them [White House officials] for years that these guys all work together,” am overseas operative told the Washington Post. “When we hear back that it can’t be because they [the terrorists] don’t work that way. That is bullshit. . . These guys all work together as long as they are Muslims. There is no other division that matters.”

The union of Sunni and Shi’ite radicals on the streets of Teheran broods ill for Israel. An attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities could trigger a backlash that would reverberate throughout the Muslim world.

Hamas rejects Carter plea to recognize Israel

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip – A senior Hamas official praised former President Jimmy Carter on Wednesday, a day after he met with the group, but said he failed to persuade the Islamic rulers of Gaza to accept international demands, including recognizing Israel.

Carter visited Gaza on Tuesday and urged Hamas leaders to accept the demands to end an international boycott, which was imposed when the militant group overran Gaza two years ago.

Carter's meeting was itself unusual because of the boycott. The United States, European Union and Israel consider Hamas a terror group and refuse to deal with it directly.

Ahmed Youssef, the deputy Hamas foreign minister, said Gaza's Palestinians were pleased to receive Carter.

"The people think this is a historic visit," Youssef told The Associated Press on Wednesday, describing Carter as "somebody very knowledgeable about the conflict and very sincere in the way he understands the conflict."

But Youssef said Hamas turned down Carter's policy requests.

"The visit has not led to a significant change. Hamas finds the conditions unacceptable," he said. "Recognizing Israel is completely unacceptable."

According to Hamas ideology, there is no room for a Jewish state in an Islamic Middle East. The militant group has sent dozens of suicide bombers into Israel, killing hundreds.

Even so, some Hamas officials have indicated they could support creation of a Palestinian state in the West Bank and Gaza, implying a form of tacit acceptance of Israel.

Youssef said the other two international conditions — renouncing violence and accepting past agreements between Israel and the Palestinians — are irrelevant. He said Israel broke a cease-fire, killing many Palestinians, and the state outlined in the partial peace accords "would have no substance, no borders and nothing that a real state is."

Israel worried over US move on PA gov't

Senior Israeli officials said Monday they were "concerned" at the prospect that the US may approve funding for a Palestinian Authority government that includes Hamas.

The concern arose after it became known that the Obama administration had asked Congress for minor changes in US law that would allow the continued provision of funds to the PA even if Hamas officials became part of a Palestinian unity government.

The Jerusalem Post has learned from a highly placed source that Israeli officials are very troubled by the possibility of US funds going to a government that includes Hamas.

"Israel would be very concerned about any international funding that reaches Hamas," a senior government official said on condition of anonymity.

Israel believes that a Fatah-Hamas unity government would be harmful first and foremost to the PA's current leadership. Officials also believe that Egypt, which is hosting unity talks between the two Palestinian factions, is making a mistake in trying to achieve a unity government. Such a government won't bring the Fatah-controlled PA to Gaza, but rather Hamas rule to the West Bank, officials say.

The Post reported Sunday that some congressional supporters of Israel were dismayed by the move, quoting Rep. Mark Steven Kirk (R-Illinois) as telling US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton at a House hearing last week that it was akin to agreeing to support a government that "only has a few Nazis in it."

"You're going to lose this battle," Kirk warned the administration in a conversation with the Post Monday. He noted that key Democrats on the House of Representatives Appropriations Committee were also concerned about the changes the administration would like to see.

The Obama administration requested the changes this month as part of an $83.4 billion emergency spending bill that also includes funding for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The bill would provide $840 million for the PA and for rebuilding Gaza post-Operation Cast Lead, but the administration is trying to work out how to deliver the aid to Gaza in light of federal restrictions on dealing with Hamas.

US officials claimed that the new proposal didn't constitute recognition of Hamas or aiding to the group. Under law, any US aid would require that the PA government recognize Israel, renounce violence and agree to abide by past Israeli-Palestinian agreements.

Even if Hamas doesn't meet those criteria, the Obama administration wants to be able to provide aid to a Palestinian unity government, if one is established, as long as the government as a whole - including its Hamas-backed ministers - does.

Last week, speaking to the Appropriations Committee, Clinton indicated that the US would not necessarily cut funding to the Palestinians even if Hamas joined a unity government and failed to meet the three conditions, noting that the US continued to provide funds to Lebanon, whose government included Hizbullah.

"We are doing that because we think, on balance, it is in the interest of the United States," she said.

Clinton said that the US did not want to "bind our hands" in the event that a Hamas-Fatah unity agreement was reached, as long as "the government that they are part of agrees to our principles."

Obama Pledges $20M to Migrate Gazans to America

When Obama was first elected he said that he was going to reach out to Muslims. Well he was not kidding and has allocated up to $20 million to migrate the Hamas supporting Gazans to America. This falls under the Migration and Refugee Assistance Act of 1962.

Israel:Gaza Terrorists Resume Daily Rocket Attacks

As usual making a "truce" with Islamic thugs amounts to nothing but a stall tactic to regroup on their behalf.

Daily Rocket, Mortar Attacks Resume Against Israel

(IsraelNN.com) The now-daily rocket attacks by Gaza terrorists against southern Israel resumed Sunday with the launch of a Kassam rocket at the Sha'ar HaNegev region and a mortar attack fired at IDF troops near the Kissufim Crossing.

Israeli soldiers were shelled by Gaza terrorists as the troops were patrolling along the security barrier near the crossing during the afternoon hours, according to Voice of Israel government radio. There were no casualties or damage reported, and the soldiers did not return fire.

Earlier in the day, the Color Red air raid siren blared its warning in Sderot and other Gaza Belt communities shortly after 9:00 a.m., sending residents racing to the shelters. Seconds later, a loud explosion shook the ground as the rocket, launched from northern Gaza, landed in an open area near the security barrier.

There were no reports of physical injuries or damage.

Saturday: Katyushas in North, Kassams in South
Terrorists in Lebanon, meanwhile, launched a Katyusha attack on northern Israel Saturday morning, wounding three family members and sending two others into severe emtional trauma while filling their home with thick black smoke.

The rocket, which landed in the yard of the family's home in a village in the western Galilee, was retrieved by IDF personnel. The injured Israelis were evacuated to a hospital in Nahariya by Magen David Adom paramedics.

IDF soldiers responded with artillery fire aimed at the source of the attack. Lebanese Army personnel and soldiers from the United Nations International Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) subsequently identified the location of the launching pad.

Gaza terrorists struck the coastal city of Ashkelon on Saturday night at around 10:20 p.m. A medium-range rocket reached the industrial zone on the southern outskirts of the city. No one was injured and no damage was caused in the attack.

Friday: Mortar Barrage Near Kissufim
A barrage of 10 mortar shells was fired at Gaza Belt communities on Friday as well, in what military sources said might have been the first stage of an attempted two-part combined terrorist attack.

The attack, which was preceded by a Grad missile attack on the Negev town of Netivot, was repulsed by IDF forces operating near the Kissufim Crossing, who returned fire. Some of the mortar shells failed to clear the security barrier and landed within Gaza.

No injuries were reported by either side.

US:Hamas vs. Fatah Rally Video

Not only has Muslim immigration dragged the Hamas-Palestine conflict and the Sunni-Shiite conflict into North America, it has now brought the Hamas-Fatah conflict to us. This video is from a recent rally in Minnesota in which Muslim Congressman Keith Ellison gave a speech.

Watch at 1:40 as there is a verbal attack on a Jewish protester. At 2:15 we hear chants in Arabic praising martyrs. Finally at 4:30 Congressman Ellison takes the mic and says that he his not there to condemn anybody. Obviously that includes Hamas.

Hamas Stole aid, Obama Sends aid

A United Nations spokesperson has stated that the Hamas terrorist group has stolen thousands of blankets and food parcels that were meant for people in need in Gaza. This just days after President Obama had stated that he will send more than $20 million dollars in aid to the Gaza strip . It kind makes one wonder whose hands our hard earned money will end up in.

JERUSALEM – A U.N. spokesman says Hamas police in Gaza have seized thousands of blankets and food parcels meant for needy residents.

Spokesman Christopher Gunness says Hamas police raided a U.N. warehouse in Gaza City on Tuesday evening. He says police snatched 3,500 blankets and more than 400 food parcels.

The aid is vital now because Gazans are facing hardship after Israel's three-week military offensive against Hamas.

Hamas has ruled Gaza since it seized control of the territory in 2007. Gunness said Wednesday this is the first time Hamas has seized U.N. aid.

Israeli officials have charged that the militant group routinely confiscates supplies meant for needy Gazans.

A Hamas government spokesman was not immediately available for comment.

WASHINGTON – Prof. Ingrid Mattson, who heads a Muslim organization which federal prosecutors in the United States say has ties to a Hamas fund, has been invited to take part in a prayer service which will be held in Washington as part of US President-elect Barack Obama's inauguration, and at his presence.

Mattson, a Catholic Canadian who converted to Islam after volunteering in Afghanistan, serves as president of the Islamic Society of North America and is one of six religious leaders set to speak at the national prayer service.

Mattson has already been invited in the past to the State Department as a guest of honor, and has even met with senior Pentagon and Bush administration officials.

However, the name of the organization she heads has been mentioned as having ties with Hamas' Holy Land Foundation in documents presented by federal prosecutors against the foundation in July.

No claim has been filed against the Islamic Society of North America, but documents presented against the Holy Land Foundation mention the Islamic association as one of the 300 organizations linked to the Hamas foundation.

The Holy Land Foundation was established in the 1980s in California by Hamas' deputy politburo chief Moussa Abu Marzouk. The foundation then moved to Texas, where it worked to raise funds for Hamas.

Federal prosecutors accused the Holy Land Foundation of transferring $12 million raised in donations to the terror organization.

American media raised questions Sunday over Mattson's invitation to the traditional national prayer for the new president as a guest of honor. Although the professor and the organization she heads have not been accused officially, prosecutors claim they have documents linking the Islamic Society of North America to Hamas and other extreme organizations.

Linda Douglass, a spokeswoman for Obama's transit team, refused to address the claim but noted that Mattson has a reputation of a star in the religious community.

Italy:Warns Muslims to Stop Protesting

Italy, one of the few countries in the world that is actually fighting back against the attempted Islamic takeover has come out and warned their Muslim community to stop with the pro-Hamas protests. Government members have called the protests a threat to peace.

Italian minister blasts Muslim protesters' prayers

ROME (Reuters) - Italy's defense minister warned the country's Muslims to stop further "provocations" after thousands held prayers in public squares in Milan during pro-Palestinian demonstrations over the past week.

Ignazio La Russa, from the right-wing National Alliance, said he did not oppose protests or want to deny anyone the right to pray, but called the public prayers a challenge to peace.

"I say enough of the provocations of Islamists in Milan," he told Il Giornale newspaper on Sunday. "In Milan, a legitimate demonstration ended in a deliberately provocative mosque under the open sky."

Thousands of Muslims knelt with their heads bowed to the ground in prayer before Milan's central train station in one of several pro-Palestinian protests on Saturday.

A week ago, Muslims held prayers in front of Milan's central cathedral, angering right-wing politicians in the overwhelming Catholic country who called it an affront to Christianity.

Muslim leaders later apologized, saying no offence was intended. There are about 1 million Muslims in Italy, making up almost two percent of the population.

"What would have happened if a group of Christians gathered together to pray with a rosary before Mecca? They probably would have been stoned," said La Russa, who described himself as a practicising Catholic who attends Mass almost every Sunday.

Milan's deputy mayor issued a similar warning to Muslims, saying four protests in seven days was too much.

"Enough with pro-Hamas marches now," said Riccardo De Corato. "Milan is not a province of Gaza and has no intention of reluctantly instituting this type of 'Gaza Saturdays.'"

Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi's center-right coalition, which includes the hardline anti-immigrant Northern League, has clashed with Italy's Muslim community in the past.

It irked Muslims last year with plans to block the construction of new mosques in Italy.

Protests against the Israeli offensive continued in Italy on Sunday, with 3,000 people marching through the center of Naples. Another 1,000 held hands to form a human chain and march through Rome's historic center to demand an end to violence in Gaza.
