Christian Activists Draw Attention To Rifqa Bary Case At Public Rally

COLUMBUS, Ohio—Dozens of Christian activists descended on Columbus Monday morning to rally in the name of Rifqa Barry, the central Ohio teenager who converted from Islam to Christianity. Bary fled to Florida during the summer, saying she feared her father would kill her because of her conversion.

Bary is now back in Ohio under foster care. Her case is moving through the legal system. A hearing scheduled for Monday was postponed until December 22.

Rally-goers said they are worried about Bary’s safety if she is returned to her parents.

“There is the larger question of, ‘Is Aamerica going to protect religious freedom at this time and allow this girl to make a choice in conscience to be a Christian, rather than a Muslim,“ asked Robert Spencer, a co-organizer of the rally.

A group of Christian activists that traveled to Columbus from Florida wore t-shirts criticizing the Islamic religion. Bary’s parents hope to regain custody.

Investigators in both Ohio and Florida have not found a credible threat to Rifqa Bary’s safety.

Rifqa Bary's civil rights are being violated. She is being held prisoner: no phone, no internet no public school .........house arrest in accord with sharia law. Female apostates are imprisoned until they recant.

Acts 17 Apologetics Radio Show on Rifqa Bary

Our anti-Islamist Christian friends that recently had their freedom of speech denied at a recent Arab festival in Michigan, are taking it to the radio tonight. The subject will be Rifqa Bary, and apostasy in Islam.

"David Wood of Acts 17 Apologetics and I are going to be guests on the Aramaic Broadcasting Network show, "Jesus or Muhammad," tonight. We are covering the Rifqa Bary story and more generally, apostasy in Islam. The show is 6:30 to 9:00pm EST and then again at 10:30pm to 1:30am EST. Fla. Police: No Credible Threat to Runaway Convert

Besides being verbally attacked by the Arab News, now the Florida police will not even protect her. When it comes to Islam they are as uninformed as the NYPD and LAPD are.

ORLANDO, Fla. — An investigation by Florida authorities has found that there were no credible threats to a teenager who ran away from her Ohio home because she says she feared for her life after converting to Christianity from Islam.

A summary of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement investigation into Rifqa Bary's (RIF'-kuh BEHR'-ee) allegations was unsealed Monday. The probe found no reports of threats against Bary in Florida or Ohio.

The 17-year-old girl is in foster care in Orlando, where a judge is deciding whether she should be returned to Ohio.

The girl ran away from her parents' suburban Columbus home in July, saying she feared being killed for changing religions.

Arab News and Leftist Rev. Ahrens Bash Pastor who Protected Rifqa Bary

Between comments left on my site and the articles that I have read, I have literally not seen one Muslim show an once of concern for the life of 17 year-old apostate of Islam Rifqa Bary.

Even the Arab News has decided to attack her and try to provide a smokescreen for the Noor Islamic Cultural Center in Ohio. As usual Muslims will say anything to defend Islam.

Her heinous allegations have tried to give Islam a bad name and taint the reputation of Noor Islamic Cultural Center (NICC), one of the most prominent mosques of Columbus, Ohio.

True Christian, Pastor Blake Lorenz extends his hand to Rifqa.

An openly declared Christian on Facebook, Bary corresponded with Florida pastor Blake Lorenz of the Global Revolution Church in Orlando. Accepting his offer of help, she boarded a Greyhound bus and fled to the pastor’s home.

In the up coming paragraph, we see the usual Muslim victim card and that America Muslims have no problem attending Mosques, conferences and rallies of hate.

When contacted by Arab News, an NICC official, who wished to remain anonymous, said: “This is nothing new, right-wing Christians have always attacked active mosques. Noor is a very prominent mosque. It caters to 10,000 Muslims in central Ohio. We have very successful interfaith programs. We have prominent visitors like congressmen, and the president of Bangladesh visited us. We have even been invited to the White House.”

Here is where leftist Rev. Tim Ahrens, steps in and defends a religion that has been persecuting Christians for centuries.

Members of other faith groups have also supported NICC. Talking to Arab News, at a recent event, Rev. Tim Ahrens said that he was ashamed by the accusations of pastor Lorenz. That it was not based on Jesus’ teachings. “It is not news but a smear campaign. I have known Hani Saqr for the last 20 years. I am ashamed to see people smear Noor. We stand with you shoulder to shoulder. This center has blessed central Ohio.”

Ahrens also said people made statements against Islam and NICC because of “fear and hate and lack of knowledge. That it is coming from elements who call themselves Christians is troubling to me as it does not reflect the values of Christ. I have only ever found graciousness and kindness in my dealings with Muslims."

Does Rev. Ahrens actually know anything about Islam, like what Islam says about the return of Jesus? Apparently not and on top of that, he does not even have the courage to say a word about the death threat to Rifqa Bary. What a disgrace.

Muslim Pres.of Interfaith Group Goes on a Tirade Over Rifqa Bary

Today as I was searching the Internet for articles about Islam I came across one about Rifqa Bary, the 17 year-old girl from Ohio who has stated that her own father wants to kill her for leaving Islam. The article was also about how Muslim activists were basically silent on this and other issues similar to it.

Then as I scrolled down to leave a comment, I noticed one from a poster using the name "moinansari". He want on rant in which he showed absolutely no concern for the poor girl and only bashed the Christians who helped her and the article's author. Using the usual Muslim talking points of "bigotry" and racism". The funny part of it is, that at the bottom of his comment he stated that he is the President of the American Joint Multifaith Association. While his title states that he is the president of the association, his site is just an all out attack on the critics of Islam. His comments here show us his true colors.

A "Church" kidnapping a minor Muslim girl and then brainwashing her into a Christian cult is Unamerican and has to be condemned. Trying to justify this new crusade is a deplorable act.

I will not take up space on mentioning quotes from the Bible, Torah and Gita which discuss other religions. This nonsense against Muslims is a way to spread bigotry and racism in our great land.

The author's unmitigated bigoted drivel is biased, it has serious errors in it and is typical of the anti-Muslim tripe so pervasive in some racist quarters these days.

It is very disappointing to see this esteemed publication chose to reproduce such a rambling crypto-racist screed.

The author's Teutonic bloviations are an admixture of discredited Neocon assertions, unsubstantiated, or outright Indian distortion, and pure unadulterated balderdash. His nauseating fixation upon and paranoid conspiratorial delusions about Islam are a transparent attempt to justify the murderous rampage, carnage and barbarism faced by West Asia. President American Joint Multifaith Assiciation

As you noticed he just attacks and never addresses the issue of apostasy and Islam. After reading this nasty rant are we really supposed to believe this statement from his site's about page?

The President of AJMA is Mr. Moin Ansari a patriotic American citizen. A Muslim-American of Pakistani origins, Mr. Moin Ansari has been working for more than a decade building bridges of harmony among various faiths.

I have continually said that interfaith talks with Muslims have not accomplished anything as the problem has now spread across the West, including America. That Muslims use the talks to provide a smokescreen for Islam.
