Lets be honest here, this is not about bringing more Arabs into the CIA, this is about bringing more Muslims into the fold. This is about our government agencies bowing down to Muslims and Islam, just like the Labour Party does in the UK. I am sure that Muslims who want to destroy life as we know it, would never think of taking this invitation and infiltrate the CIA. Nah, that could never happen.

DEARBORN, Mich. – There's a swirl of activity in a spacious, modern kitchen as final meal preparations are made.

An older man tries to swipe a felafel off an appetizer plate but instead gets a loving hand slap from a woman. The happy, well-dressed guests move to a table full of food in a dining room adorned with Middle Eastern wall-hangings.

It's an inviting, if idealized, dinner party scene from any Arab-American home — at least that's what the CIA seeks to convey in the first television commercial of its kind. The agency, in turn, hopes it's an inviting message to U.S. Arabs.

"Your nation, your world," a male voice says with a Middle Eastern accent, as the frame moves outside and pans out to show the party through a window of a gleaming, high-rise building. In seconds, the shot zooms out to an image of the U.S. from space. "They're worth protecting.

"Careers in the CIA."

The commercial, which the agency plans to debut on mainstream and ethnic TV stations and Web sites nationwide within the next few months, represents artistic and technological leaps for the agency. Until now, its print, broadcast and Web advertising has focused on the variety of career options and the diversity among its ranks, but the agency hasn't used a storytelling approach to sell its message.

It's part of an ambitious outreach effort to communities the CIA deems critical to reducing the threat of terrorism in the U.S. The agency has a five-year plan to boost fluency in Arabic and other languages.

But resistance could come from U.S. Arabs who have felt the sting of suspicion since the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. Many Arabs and Muslims have been dubious of the government's intelligence gathering and believe spying is going on in mosques and other places.

The CIA on Wednesday held a private screening of the commercial and another 30-second spot aimed at recruiting Iranian-Americans. Each drew applause from the group of about 40 people gathered for the viewing in Dearborn, in the heart of Michigan's large Middle Eastern community.

"It's important for them to know we understand how important their culture is to them. They're not going to lose that once they walk through the front doors of the CIA to work," said Christina Petrosian, chief of advertising and marketing for agency's recruitment and retention center.

Like the White House, the Clinton lead State Department has also had a dinner in honor of Ramadan. Apparently much of our government's time is being used up by catering to Islam. Just like in the UK, and look at how well that turned out.

Hillary Clinton reached out to Muslim communities at home and abroad by hosting an "iftar" at the State Department Monday evening. "Iftar" refers the one meal participating Muslims have each day after fasting from sun-up to sun-down for one month, in observation of Ramadan -- the holiest period of each year and the ninth month in the Islamic calendar.

"The nearly seven million Muslims in our country have enriched our culture, have made us stronger, because of contributions that many of you and others across America have given to us," Clinton said before the meal, to guests comprised of diplomats and prominent members of Muslim American communities in the U.S.

Also speaking before the meal was the State Department's new Special Representative to Muslim Communities, Farah Pandith, sworn-in Monday morning by Secretary Clinton.

"This holy month of Ramadan provides us with these wonderful opportunities to reflect on the principles of a faith that is practiced by more than a billion women and men worldwide. As we fast, we are asked to think of the other, to be cognizant of the importance of respect for all, and to renew our efforts to do good deeds," said Pandith.

"As a Muslim who immigrated to the United States at a young age, I have walked the typical American road. I have balanced my faith and my heritage and my love of my country without pause," Pandith said.

"It is as American to have pad thai, as it is a pizza," she joked.

Clinton acknowledged that the relationship between Muslim communities and other Americans has not always been harmonious. After the attacks of September 11, 2001-- committed by violent extremist Muslims from parts of the Middle East, many Muslim Americans faced outright hostility and prejudice in the U.S.

"Now we recognize that the relationship between the United States and Muslim communities has at times suffered from misunderstanding and misperception," Clinton said. "But we are committed to learning and listening, to creating bridges of understanding, and respect, and building stronger bonds of cooperation."

The US government is just doing a wonderful job at bowing down to the Islamic community. U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder went to a LA Mosque pledging to advance religious freedoms for Muslims. While some US military "leaders" are practically crawling on their knees begging Muslims to respect us. Now the CIA has joined in on the Islamic love fest. These are the same policies that the UK has tried and we will get the same results. FAILURE.

CIA director, community leaders to meet

DEARBORN — Leon Panetta, director of the Central Intelligence Agency, is scheduled to meet with local Arab and Muslim community leaders during a Sept. 16 visit to Dearborn.

The CIA has implemented a sweeping outreach and recruitment campaign in Arab American communities over the last several years, seeking out speakers of Arabic and other Middle East languages.

The visit comes weeks after the release of records detailing harsh, Bush-era CIA interrogation and rendition programs, and the disclosure of a secret, unsuccessful program in which private Blackwater USA security contractors were hired to assassinate suspected terrorists.

Panetta was appointed CIA Director by President Barack Obama in February and has battled Attorney General Eric Holder over the release of interrogation records and Justice Department investigations of agency officials. In June, Panetta called an emergency meeting to tell Congress that the agency withheld details of the relationship with Blackwater contractors and that he officially ended the program shortly after learning of its existence.

Over the past several years, the CIA has sponsored and maintained a presence at countless Arab American annual functions, including fundraising events for the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee, the Arab American and Chaldean Council, the Arab American Chamber of Commerce and other organizations, spending tens of thousands on booths, banners and advertising.

CIA spokespeople have said the number of job applications coming out of the Detroit area has risen significantly since the effort began.

Other top agency officials met with Arab American leaders in Southfield earlier this year.

CIA spokesman George Little told the Detroit News Tuesday "These individuals have the kinds of skills, knowledge and experiences that can strongly advance our vital intelligence mission and protect the nation's security."

Obama Administration Allowing American Muslims to Fund Jihad~Video

During Obama's pro-Islamic Cairo speech, he promised that he would work with American Muslims so that they call fulfill their obligation of zakat. When Obama returned to America he said that he would ease the scrutiny of Islamic charities.

Obviously Obama is well educated on Islam, but what he didn't tell us is that zakat is supposed to be divided into 8 categories. One of these is for Muslims fighting in the name of the Allah. Does anyone hear America Muslims warning us about this? I don't.

VIENNA – Iran accused the U.S. on Friday of using "forged documents" and relying on subterfuge to make its case that Tehran is trying to build a nuclear weapon, according to a confidential letter obtained by The Associated Press.

The eight-page letter — written by Iran's chief envoy to the U.N. nuclear agency in Vienna — denounces Washington's allegations against the Islamic Republic as "fabricated, baseless and false." The letter does not specify what documents Iran is alleging were forged.

It also lashes out at Britain and France for "ill will and political motivation" in their dealings on Iran.

Iranian envoy Ali Asghar Soltanieh sent the letter to Mohamed ElBaradei, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, whose 35-nation board will take a hard new look at Iran's nuclear program next week.

Iran insists its nuclear activities are peaceful and geared solely toward generating electricity. The U.S. and key allies contend the Islamic Republic is covertly trying to build an atomic bomb.

Tehran has bristled at the agency's latest report, which accuses Iran of defiantly continuing to enrich uranium and refusing to clear up lingering questions about possible military dimensions to its nuclear program.

In the letter, a copy of which was obtained by the AP, Soltanieh insists that Iran has demonstrated "the full commitment of my country to its obligations" under an IAEA nuclear safeguards agreement.

But it takes sharp aim at Washington for giving the U.N. nuclear watchdog unspecified intelligence and other evidence allegedly recovered from a laptop computer that reportedly was smuggled out of Iran.

U.S. intelligence later assessed the information as indicating that Tehran had been working on details of nuclear weapons, including missile trajectories and ideal altitudes for exploding warheads.

The material on the laptop also included videos of what intelligence officials believe were secret nuclear laboratories in Iran.

"By interfering in the work of the IAEA and exerting various political pressures, the government of the United States attempted to spoil the cooperative spirit between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the IAEA," the letter reads.

"The government of the United States has not handed over original documents to the agency since it does not in fact have any authenticated document and all it has are forged documents," Soltanieh said.

"The agency didn't deliver any original documents to Iran and none of the documents and materials that were shown to Iran have authenticity and all proved to be fabricated, baseless allegations and false attributions to Iran," he added.

"Therefore, this subject must be closed," Soltanieh wrote.

US Military Leaders Bowing Down to Islam

As I write this article I want to make it clear that I don't blame the US Military as a whole for this. This is directed towards the decision makers, who clearly do not understand two things. The first is Islam itself, and the second being that catering to Muslims does not work. It just leads to non-Muslims becoming more like Muslims.

In the last two months there has been an upsurge in the idea department of pleasing the Islamic world. Yesterday it was revealed that the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Adm. Mike Mullen had stated that the US has to get more credibility with the Islamic world.

"Our messages lack credibility because we haven't invested enough in building trust and relationships, and we haven't always delivered on promises," he added.

Does Adm. Mullen even begin to realize that non-Muslims have been reaching out to Muslims for centuries? Obviously it does not change things as the threat of Islamic takeover has spread across the world and is even in our own backyard.

Adm. Mullen has even gone as far as to say that the Islamic world demands appreciation and that we need to show it to them. This approach sounds awfully familiar. Take a good look at the UK to see how well bowing down to Muslims has worked out.

Mullen said the Muslim community is "a subtle world" that demands appreciation. The U.S. must demonstrate that appreciation if it wishes to succeed at supplanting the "extremist narrative."

Unfortunately Adm. Mullen is not the only military leader who has gone down this path. Maj. Gen. Jeffery Hammond, commanding general of the 4th Infantry Division has become a mouthpiece of Islam, as he is promoting it to his troops.

At the Fort Carson military base in Colorado, Maj. Gen. Hammond actually brought in local Muslim leaders to "educate" thousands of US soldiers on Islam.

"We want to talk to (soldiers) about this beautiful religion", Hammond said at the one-hour meeting...

Does Maj. Gen. Hammond think that extortion, lying, rape, and terrorism are beautiful? Because Islam allows all of these things. Did the local Muslims who came to the base to "educate" our troops happen to mention these facts? Of course not.

As usual Muslims have an endless list of demands and as usual our leaders fall for it over and over again.

Hammond agreed with the Muslim leaders that greater cultural sensitivity is needed, and he said he wants the Army and Muslim leaders to continue working together to teach soldiers about Islam.

Maj. Gen. Hammond also has not realized the major differences between the non-Islamic world and the Islamic world.

"This is a great step forward," he told Hammond. "We have more in common than we know."

To be honest Maj. Gen. Hammond sounds more like a politically correct politician than a military leader.

The act of catering and being "sensitive" to Muslims has hit the battlefield in Afghanistan. As female US Marines are donning headscarves in an effort to get Muslims to like them.

"It's part of the effort to show we're sensitive to local culture," said Capt. Jennifer Gregoire, of East Strasburg, Pennsylvania. She leads the Female Engagement Team in the Now Zad Valley of Helmand province, the heartland of the Taliban insurgency.

If non-Muslims have to act like Muslims and even promote Islam as Maj. Gen. Hammond is doing to get them to like us, we shouldn't be there in the first place. As this is not promoting freedom, it is playing into the hand of a religion that calls for the dominance of non-Muslims. Unfortunately this will never work, just ask India and Israel.

US Military Names Secret Terror Suspects

Besides starting to release detainees from Gitmo, the US government has now decided to release the names of terror suspects held in Iraq and Afghanistan to the Red Cross. The is being done in the name of transparency as part of our politically correct wars. Our government just does not have it in them to fight to win and it is not fair to our troops. It is time to bring them back home.

The US military has begun notifying the Red Cross of the identities of terror suspects being held at secret camps in Iraq and Afghanistan, reports say.

The Red Cross, which has lobbied the Pentagon for years to give its staff access to all detention facilities, declined to confirm the changes.

The policy reportedly took effect this month with no public announcement.

Correspondents say that the move represents a victory for human rights groups seeking more US transparency.

The new approach is said to be part of a broad review of US detention and interrogation practice launched by the Obama administration.

Further scrutiny

Dozens of suspected foreign fighters captured in Iraq and Afghanistan are being held at so-called "temporary screening camps" run by US special forces at secret locations in Balad in Iraq and Bagram in Afghanistan.

Despite the change in policy, Red Cross officials are still not getting access to the highly secretive sites - something they do get at most other US military detention centres.

The Pentagon has previously said that providing information about these detainees could jeopardize counter-terrorism efforts.

It has refused to comment on the latest reports.

A spokeswoman for the Red Cross in Geneva told the BBC she could not comment on the reported changes, saying discussions about detention issues are always confidential.

This week, the detention policies of the former Bush administration are likely to come under further scrutiny with the publication of a CIA report dating from 2004 into its interrogation practices at that time.

It describes the physical and psychological abuse of detainees inside US-run facilities, including mock execution and, in one case, threatening a prisoner with a gun and a power drill.

EAST LANSING, Mich. - The federal government is sponsoring a three-year effort at Michigan State University to build an online library about Islam and Muslims in West Africa.

The university says the National Endowment for the Humanities grant will underwrite creation of a "digital repository of information for scholars, researchers, teachers and students."

Project leader professor David Robinson says the "tremendous impact" of the 9/11 terrorist attacks shows the importance of scholars helping Americans gain an accurate understanding of Islamic cultures.

Michigan State's Center for Humane, Arts, Letters and Social Studies Online will collect and create access to photographs and video as part of the $250,000 project.

Iraq investigates alleged US-insurgent talks

BAGHDAD – Iraq said Friday it was investigating reports that U.S. delegates and Sunni insurgents held reconciliation talks in Turkey this year, alleging the meetings violated Iraqi sovereignty and showed tolerance for terrorists.

The State Department acknowledged that unspecified meetings took place, but said Iraq knew about them at the time.

The matter raises sensitive questions about Iraqis' newfound authority as the United States hands over responsibility to Iraqi forces, which have taken charge of security in cities since June 30. The revelations came as Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki ended a visit to the United States after meeting President Barack Obama on Wednesday.

Although the meetings in Turkey are said to have occurred months ago, news reports about an agreement supposedly signed by the American and insurgent sides have angered Iraqis who are struggling to assert their independence after years of conflict.

A man identified as the secretary-general of the Political Council of the Iraqi Resistance told Al-Jazeera TV last week that his group held talks with U.S. officials in March and in May. He said the two sides signed a "protocol to organize the negotiation process and a document that included U.S. recognition of the Iraqi resistance."

The man, Ali al-Jubouri, said the group's other demands included a formal U.S. apology for the 2003 invasion and the release of all Iraqi prisoners, but that the talks had since broken down.

U.S. diplomatic and military officials have negotiated with Sunni insurgents in the past, and scored a notable success by persuading Sunni tribal leaders, whose followers included anti-American fighters, to turn against al-Qaida in Iraq in what was considered a key factor in reducing violence in 2007.

Despite the drop in insurgent attacks and sectarian bloodshed, political reconciliation among Iraq's factions remains difficult. Iraq's Shiite-led government, whose supporters suffered under the Sunni-dominated rule of Saddam Hussein, is deeply skeptical of the possibility of an accord with Sunni insurgents, some of whom might have links to Saddam's old Baath party.

"Nobody can make decisions on behalf of Iraq, which has a legitimate government," said Abbas al-Bayati, a member of the security and defense committee in the Iraqi parliament. "We want to know if these armed groups are included in the national reconciliation project and whether their hands have been stained in Iraqi blood."

In an interview with the U.S.-funded Al-Hurra network, Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari said he received confirmation of a meeting involving U.S., insurgent and Turkish representatives in Istanbul in March.

Zebari said it was "shocking" and "amazing" that U.S. and Turkish officials met "the supporters of the former regime, groups that adopt violence and terrorism as a way to change the situation, and the networks that believe in killing, bombing and targeting innocents."

US Council Foreign Relations:Americans Must Lose Stereotypes of Muslims

First our Justice Department issues a statement which clearly promotes Islam in America. Now the Council on Foreign Relations is telling us that we need to lose the negative stereotypes of Muslims. How about Muslims change their ways before we change our opinions of them? On top of it this so called US Middle Eastern "expert" believes that dialogue with the Islamic world will changes things. Gee lady what an original idea....I am sure that in 1400 years no one has ever thought of this.

NEW YORK, June 6 (Xinhua) -- Stereotypes must be overcome before the U.S.-Muslim relations could be improved, a U.S. Middle East expert said in a recent interview.

In efforts to improve U.S.-Muslim relations, "there are a lot of stereotypes to overcome," said Isobel Coleman, director of the Women and Foreign Policy program of the U.S. Council on Foreign Relations.

"If you ask an average American, what do they think if they talk about Muslims, you come up with a lot of negative references," she told Xinhua in the interview on Friday.

"They do think about suicide bombings, terrorism and all sorts of things," Coleman said. "And the Muslims also have to overcome the stereotypes of America," she added.

Commenting on the speech U.S. President Barack Obama made at Cairo University Thursday, Coleman said: "U.S.-Muslim relations are starting from a very low point, so the first step in building respect and trust (between the two sides) is just really trying to initiate dialogue."

Invoking the Quran and his rarely used middle name, Barack Hussein Obama declared that America has a common cause with Islam and never will be at war with the faith -- an overture intently watched by the Muslim world.

"Obama made numerous overtures to the Muslim world and talked about U.S.-Muslim relations several times during his presidency," she said.

"Obama is a new person, a new presidency, a new generation and a new face, I think he is trying to start over again," she said, "It is really a starting point."

However, while Obama "acknowledged his own Muslim past, even spoke Arabic phrases and quoted passages from Quran, it is absolutely impossible to put the U.S.-Muslim relations on a complete new footing" with just one well-received speech, she said.

The United States and Muslim countries still have "a lot of differences in policies," she said.

As for building mutual trust and respect between the U.S. and the Muslim countries, Coleman said that Obama must take some specific actions so as to win the hearts of Muslims.

If the U.S. reduces the troop level in Iraq, it would be conducive to his efforts to mend and bridge the wounds and gaps between the two, as the Muslim world still maintains that U.S. occupation of Iraq is just for its quest of oil resources in Iraq, she said.

"If there is a significant drawdown of troops, that would help remove another friction of point," Coleman added.

When asked whether Obama's own Muslim-related background would help his effort to build a better U.S.-Muslim relationship, Coleman said: "It is a little bit helpful."

"Since Obama is a popularly elected African-American President, this might make Muslims think how many minorities in our countries could ever hope of doing something like that and people are respectful of that."

U.S.-Muslim relations could not improve overnight, Coleman noted. These things are "cumulative and take time. I wouldn't say that there will some massive and key shift from one speech in Cairo."

Those looking for a dramatic change in U.S. policy will be disappointed, she said. "Under the Obama Administration, you have an acceleration of troop levels in Afghanistan and he is not about to meet all the demands of the radical Jihadi groups up there. That's not what he stands for."

Coleman hailed Obama's speech, saying he was trying to send a message to the Muslim world that "the United States has no fight with the Muslim world, but in fact we have many mutual interests."

Analysts believe that in the first instance the speech was a continuation of Obama's promise to reach out to Arabs and the Islamic world, repeating a line he has used before, that "America is not - and never will be - at war with Islam."

Less than five months in office Obama has already done that on a number of occasions, either in speeches or in policy moves, such as appointing former Senator George Mitchell as Special Envoy for Middle East peace negotiations at the beginning of his term in office, or indicating his administration would join directly in nuclear negotiations with Tehran.

The Story

On March 20th, 2009, Army Ranger 1st Lieutenant Michael Behenna was sentenced to 25 years in prison for killing a known Al Qaeda operative while serving in Iraq. The “victim”, Ali Mansur, was known to be a member of an Al Qaeda cell operating in the lieutenant’s area of operation, and was suspected to have organized an attack on Lt. Behenna’s platoon in April 2008 which killed two U.S. soldiers and injured two more. Army intelligence ordered the release of Mansur and Lt. Behenna was ordered to return the terrorist to his home.

During the return of Mansur, Lt. Behenna again questioned the Al Qaeda member for information about other members of the terrorist cell, and financial supporters. During this interrogation, Mansur attacked Lt. Behenna, who killed the terrorist in self-defense. The government subsequently prosecuted Lt. Behenna for premeditated murder.

Not only is this a miscarriage of justice on the behalf of Lt. Behenna, who was acting to prevent further loss of life in his platoon, it is demoralizing to the U.S. troops who continue to fight on behalf of the freedom and security of our nation. Whether it is U.S. border patrol agents, members of the armed forces, or FBI agents, no individual who is serving on the frontlines in the War on Terror should be so blatantly mistreated.

We urgently need your help to correct this terrible wrong against a loyal and faithful soldier. Please contact your congressman and ask them to intervene on behalf of 1LT Behenna. Below is a brief recap of the relevant aspects of Lt. Behenna’s case.

September 2007: 1st Lieutenant Michael Behenna deployed to Iraq for his first combat experience.

April 21, 2008: Lt. Behenna’s platoon was attacked by Al Qaeda operatives. The attack resulted in death of two of Lt. Behenna’s platoon members, two Iraqi citizens, and wounded two additional soldiers under Lt. Behenna’s command.

May 5, 2008: Known terrorist Ali Mansur was detained at his home for suspected involvement in the attack on Lt. Behenna’s platoon.

May 16, 2008: Army Intelligence orders the release of Mansur.
Lt. Behenna, who lost two members of his platoon just weeks earlier, was ordered to transport Mansur back to his home.

Lt. Behenna attempts a final interrogation of Mansur prior to his release.
During the interrogation, Behenna is attacked by Mansur and is forced to defend himself. During the altercation, the terrorist is killed.

Lt. Behenna failed to properly report the incident.
July 2008: The U.S. Army charges Lt. Behenna with premeditated murder for the death of Al Qaeda operative and terrorist Ali Mansur.

February 23, 2009: Lt. Behenna’s trial begins.
Government and defense experts agree on the trajectory of the bullets killing Mansur
Prosecution expert Dr. Herbert MacDonnell initiated contact with defense attorneys explaining his agreement with the testimony of Lt. Behenna and his presentation to prosecutors supporting Lt. Behenna’s version of events.

Dr. MacDonnell is not called to testify in the case and is sent home. Just before leaving the courthouse he picks up his coat from the prosecution room and says to the three prosecutors, ‘The explanation that Lt Behenna just testified to was the exact same scenario I told you yesterday. Lt Behenna is telling the truth.’

Jack Zimmermann, defense counsel, asks prosecutors if they have any exculpatory evidence that should be provided to the defense (referring to Dr. MacDonnell’s demonstration). Prosecutors deny having any such evidence despite having been told by their own expert witness that Lt Behenna’s explanation was the only logical explanation.

Prosecutors withholding of this evidence allowed them to argue that Lt. Behenna executed Ali Mansur while seated when the forensic experts, including Dr. MacDonnell, agree that Ali was standing with his arms outstretched when shot.

Lt. Behenna is convicted of unpremeditated murder and assault by a military panel of seven officers, none of whom had combat experience.

Dr. MacDonnell contacts prosecution requesting that the information provided in his demonstration be given to the defense.

Prosecutors provide such information after a verdict was rendered, but prior to sentencing.

At the request of the presiding judge, Dr. MacDonnell provides his information to the court via telephone.

The judge orders both sides in the case to file briefs relating to a possible mistrial.

After reading the briefs the judge set an additional hearing and ordered additional briefs, including one from the defense requesting a new trial.

On March 20, the judge denied defense motions to declare a mistrial and to order a new trial.

Lt. Behenna’s attorneys are appealing the verdict.
Lt. Behenna is currently serving a 25-year sentence

1st Lieutenant Michael Behenna was an excellent officer. He received his call to serve his country while attending the University of Central Oklahoma. He is from a family of public servants, his mother being an Assistant United States Attorney and his father a retired Special Agent with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation. He has served the Army and the United States with honor and dignity. To sacrifice the life of this Oklahoma soldier over the death of a known terrorist, is a breech of faith with all who are serving our country.
