Taliban to Obama: Get a Clue!!

When President Obama first took the presidential seat he vowed that he would reach out to Muslims. Recently he had stated that we should be reaching out to "moderate" members of the Taliban. What Obama does not understand are that these people are hellbent on creating an Islamic world and there is no middle ground with them. The Taliban has issued a state which confirms this.

Taliban say Obama's call on moderates "illogical"

KABUL (Reuters) - Afghanistan's Taliban on Tuesday turned down as illogical U.S. President Barack Obama's bid to reach out to moderate elements of the insurgents, saying the exit of foreign troops was the only solution for ending the war.

Obama, in an interview with the New York Times, expressed an openness to adapting tactics in Afghanistan that had been used in Iraq to reach out to moderate elements there.

"This does not require any response or reaction for this is illogical," Qari Mohammad Yousuf, a purported spokesman for the insurgent group, told Reuters when asked if its top leader Mullah Mohammad Omar would make any comment about Obama's proposal.

"The Taliban are united, have one leader, one aim, one policy...I do not know why they are talking about moderate Taliban and what it means?"

"If it means those who are not fighting and are sitting in their homes, then talking to them is meaningless. This really is surprising the Taliban."

In Iraq, the use of Sunni Muslim community leaders to employ their people to patrol their neighbourhoods has been credited as one of the main reasons behind sharp falls in violence.

Obama did point out that compared to Iraq, the situation was more complex in Afghanistan, where nearly 70,000 foreign troops, 38,000 of them American, are due to be joined in coming months by another 17,000 U.S. soldiers.

Afghan President Hamid Karzai, who has been leading Afghanistan since U.S.-led troops overthrew the Taliban in an invasion in 2001, welcomed Obama's proposal.

The number of foreign troops in Afghanistan has risen steadily since Taliban's ouster after they refused to hand over al Qaeda leaders responsible for the Sept. 11 attacks on the United States.

So has the level of Taliban attacks against the government and foreign forces, prompting Obama to term Afghanistan as a top foreign policy priority for his new administration.

Some Western politicians and military officers now say the war cannot be won by military means alone and a solution will have to involve some form of reconciliation.

Yousuf said expulsion of foreign troops was the only solution for Afghanistan's spiraling violence.

"Afghans know better how to decide about their destiny," he replied when asked if the Taliban were willing to hold talks with Karzai's government should and when the troops leave.

What??? You mean that they are not going to just roll over for "the one"?

How dare they! Don't they know he was a community organizer and is really well spoken? (if he has a teleprompter)

Now what will he do? Perhaps he can just surrender to them and offer to pay them to leave us alone?

What a difference with no teleprompter. Obama is out of his league dealing with these people.

There is no more sanity in trying to "talk" with a muz supremacist then there is in trying to talk sense to a liberal. I have no idea why they would try but the conversation, at the very least promises to be amusing....slapstick comedy, ya think?

Amazing, isn't it? The idea Obama thinks he can just say, "we'll talk" and things will suddenly turn around, is pathetically naive. Perhaps Obama should have read a little about the history of the radical elements of these groups & their prescriptions for "the world."
Remember, the left also said the Iraq war was lost. Senate Majority Leader Reid said the war was lost multiple times & Rep. Murtha added to that by calling our troops vile names & said they were committing all sorts of despicable crimes.
(His Haditha accusations have since been disproved by multiple independent investigators who exonerated those soldiers he accused of indiscriminately killing Haditha civilians, but the MSM has avoided mentioning this in their prime time reports.)
Now, Obama has publicly said we cannot win in Afghanistan & that war is lost. Seems like the left has this obsessive desire to create defeat whenever, & wherever they can, so long as it involves America being defeated. It was bad enough before, but now the man the nation calls their President is surrendering. Why don't they just get down on their knees & beg! Is it they hate America that much or is it he is that much of a coward?
The real problem is, this clown is going to be making the deals for whatever agreements are reached.
Wanna bet we get the short end of any stick & its shoved where the sun don't shine?! Hopefully, its Obama's sun don't shine location & not the soldiers risking their lives over there!

The deals that he makes will cost us millions more in aid.
