Muslims throwing rocks at a homosexual man in Minn, a Muslim in Washington D.C. stating that homosexuals should be killed under Sharia law, and now this. Is this the "tolerant" part of Islam, that we keep hearing about?

An overzealous cabby allegedly booted a gay couple when he spotted the duo sharing a warm embrace in the back of his cold car.

Paul Bruno and his partner hailed the yellow cab Monday night at 13th Street and First Avenue and sat close, Bruno told The Post.

But the driver, identified by Bruno and city records as Medhat Mohamed, was apparently appalled by their shows of affection -- and pulled the cab over two blocks into the trip.

"You guys have to get out of the taxi! Hugging is not allowed in here!" the driver said, according to Bruno.

Stunned, the lovebirds exited and watched the taxi peel away.

"I was shocked," said Bruno, 27, who called the act "discrimination against homosexuals."

The encounter took place at 10:20 p.m. after the couple attended a birthday dinner and hailed a ride to East Harlem.

"To pull over after two blocks and be so blatantly intolerant is outrageous," Bruno said.

"He needs to exercise the rules in which he was employed a little more closely."
Both men said they hoped other cabbies didn't share the same views on an innocent act.

"I don't know if it was a personal or religious thing. But it's never OK to deny anyone a ride, especially when it's such blatant and direct discrimination," added Bruno, a lifelong city resident.

The driver could not be reached for comment yesterday.

The Taxi and Limousine Commission "would take such an allegation very seriously and fully investigate," said spokesman Allan Fromberg.

Such a violation carries serious consequences for a cabby, sources added.

It would be considered a "service refusal." The first offense is a $200 to $350 fine, the second a $350 to $500 fine and a 30-day suspension, and the third strike is license revocation.

The TLC often conducts undercover stings looking for cabbies who reject customers for no legitimate reason.

Bruno said he and his partner immediately filed an official complaint against the driver via 311.

Both men want a formal apology from the driver, and say they believe hacks should be put though more rigorous sensitivity training.

"He's in the wrong place and in the wrong line of work if he doesn't have an open and tolerant attitude," said Bruno, adding, "I've seen a lot more go on in taxis than hugging."

New York Residences Raided in Terrorism Probe

WASHINGTON -- Law enforcement agents have raided residences in New York City as part of a terrorism investigation, and are preparing to brief Congress about the investigation.

New York Police Department spokesman Paul Browne confirms that searches were conducted in the borough of Queens on Monday by agents of a joint terrorism task force. He would not discuss the matter further.

Separately, federal authorities planned to brief senior lawmakers in Congress on the case later Monday.

NY:Bloomberg: Schools Can't Observe Muslim Holidays

Recently the politically correct City Council's Education Committee passed a resolution for the Department of Education to add two Muslim holidays to the school calender. Thankfully NYC Mayor Bloomberg has shot it down. Islam allows lying, rape, and what we would consider murder. It should not be honored.

Bloomberg: Schools Can't Observe Muslim Holidays

NEW YORK (AP) -- New York's City Council has passed a nonbinding resolution asking the Education Department to observe two important Muslim holidays. But Mayor Michael Bloomberg says the city is so diverse schools can't observe every holiday.

The city has the nation's largest school system. A 2008 study by Columbia University's Teachers College estimates at least 10 percent of its 1.1 million students are Muslim.

The resolution was passed Tuesday. It asks the Bloomberg administration to observe the holidays in schools and for the state to require it by amending education law.

The holidays are Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan, and Eid al-Adha. Eid al-Adha celebrates the willingness of Ibrahim -- known as Abraham to Christians and Jews -- to sacrifice his son. It is the most important Islamic holiday.

Bomb Attack on NYC Starbucks

While there are no known suspects, it is a fact that many Muslims have a problem with Starbucks for their support of Israel. Or it could of been done by a pro-Palestinian leftist.

NEW YORK (WABC) -- An explosive device blew out the windows of a Starbucks coffee shop in a blast that rocked an Upper East Side neighborhood.

The loud blast was heard at the intersection of Third Avenue and East 92nd Street just before 4 a.m.

The explosion took place on 92nd and 3rd avenue.

Police are still looking for the person who left the device outside of the Starbucks.

The time of day echoed that of a pattern of unsolved early morning blasts that have occurred outside the British Consulate, the Mexican Consulate and the Armed Forces recruiting booth in Times Square over the past two years.

"The similarity is the time. The Mexican consulate, the British consulate, the Times Square bombing event at the recruiting station, we have this event. They all happened between 3:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. that's the immediate similarity we are looking at," said Commissioner Ray Kelly.

The explosion took place on a bench outside of the store.

The bomb squad, OEM, along with the FDNY and NYPD are investigating.

In the earlier cases witnesses and surveillance camera footage showed a suspect escaping on a bicycle.

In today's incident, no such information was immediately available but police were canvassing the neighborhood and collecting and reviewing security camera tapes.

"We will be checking cameras in the area. Right now there are no reports of anyone on a bicycle," Kelly said." We will do a canvas, we will come back and canvas later, back tomorrow morning, see people who may have been in the area. right now we have no witnesses to the immediate event."

"It was a huge boom, and I was inside and thought it was either a gas explosion or a truck ran into the building," said Jackie Klempay.

The coffee shop was closed at the time of the blast. No injuries were reported.

The amount of explosive used today was thought to be the equivalent of two or more such fireworks. While the targets in the past blasts suggested a possible political motive to the attacks, the reason for today's attack was unclear.

"We don't know the motive. Obviously it is a cause for concern, but we are going to do an in depth investigation," Kelly said. "Starbucks has been victimized in the past in other cities. So we are looking into that issue as well."
