Iran and Turkey Foster Relations at Islam Summit

While non-Muslims are arguing amongst ourselves over if there really is an Islamic threat, Iran with their hard line cabinet, and the anti-Israel Turkish government, are joining hands in unity. Hopefully we will figure this all out before it is too late.

Iran and Turkey foster relations at Islam summit

Iran and Turkey are expected to take their improving relations a step further at an international Islamic summit in Istanbul starting today. President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was warmly welcomed by his Turkish counterpart Abdulah Gul.

Turkey has recently defended Iran over its nuclear programme, which the West fears Tehran is using to develop atomic weapons. Ankara’s apparent efforts to strengthen links with Iran have alarmed the US and the EU, which Turkey wants to join.

And Brussels had been equally troubled by a decision to invite Sudan’s president to the Organisation of the Islamic Conference meeting.

The EU had urged the Turkish government to withdraw the invitation to war crimes suspect Omar Hassan al-Bashir.

But the Sudanese leader has pulled out of his own accord. Bashir is wanted over alleged war crimes in Sudan’s Darfur region.

Israel to Review Arms Sales to Turkey

After yesterdays announcement that Turkey was blacklisting Israel in upcoming military maneuvers, Israel has wisely stated they are going to reevaluate their weapons sales to Turkey. When the Muslim world unites militarily against us, all non-Muslim countries will regret that they sold them even a pistol.

Hat tip to Jihad Watch.

After drill cancellation, Barak says Turkey major player in ME

While Israel kept a low official profile concerning Turkey's Anatolian Eagle exercise, several defense officials said on Sunday that advanced weapons sales to Turkey would now be reviewed, and a leading academic expert on Israeli-Turkish relations suggested ending support for Turkey on the Armenian genocide issue in Washington if the deterioration in ties continues.

According to the officials, several Turkish requests are currently under consideration by the Defense Ministry's Foreign Defense Assistance and Defense Export Organization (SIBAT). These will now need to be reviewed due to the change in the diplomatic ties between Jerusalem and Ankara.

The officials would not reveal which new military platforms Turkey had requested.

Turkey PM: My Country Needs to Have More Kids, to Gain Power

Recently Turkish PM Erodgan canceled a joint military exercise with Israel, to show Turkey's support of Palestine. His next move was to tell the people of Turkey to have more children. I am sure that neither of these actions have anything to do with the worldwide jihad.

Nah....could never happen with "moderate" Turkey.

Erdogan: Have at least 3 children
Sun, 11 Oct 2009

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has urged Turkish families to have at least three children, saying a greater population will increase Turkey's power.

Erdogan, who was addressing a congress held by the National Association for Gerontology, said the decrease in the birth rate is rapidly increasing the part of the world population that is above 60 years old.

He noted that even two children in each family would not stop the regressive demographic trend.

"The more our population increases, the more we will be powerful," Aksam newspaper quoted Erdogan as saying.

He warned that Turkey could turn into an aging country by 2030, if the Turkish families failed to have at least three children.

Erdogan stressed that the Turkish families should not worry about their livelihood, pointing to India and China that have high populations and are turning into the richest countries of the world.

Israel: Turkey Calls Off Joint air Force Drill

In today's "moderate" Islam is coming to the rescue segment, our great "ally" Turkey has shown their true Islamic colors and has decided to blacklist Israel. This is being done to show their support for the Palestinian terrorists.

As I have been saying all along, the Islamic world will unite against the non-Muslim world. In the meantime most non-Muslims cannot even bring themselves to admit that there is an enemy out there. This line of thinking had better change fast.

Israel: Turkey calls off joint air force drill
By AMY TEIBEL

JERUSALEM – Turkey has canceled an annual joint air force drill that was to have taken place this week because it opposed Israeli participation, the Israeli military said, in the latest sign of deteriorating relations between the two countries.

Turkey, a secular country ruled by an Islamic-oriented party, had long been Israel's best friend in the Muslim world. But ties have cooled sharply over Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's sharp criticism of Israel's winter war in the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli military said the Oct. 12-23 drill was delayed indefinitely "because of Turkey's decision to change the list of participating countries, thus excluding Israel."

The exercise was to have been the sixth annual maneuver of its kind. The military said it was to have included U.S., Italian and NATO forces.

Israeli defense officials said Ankara canceled the drill after the U.S. pulled out over the Turkish decision to blackball Israel.

They spoke on condition of anonymity because they weren't authorized to discuss the matter with the media.

Israel and Turkey have wide-ranging military, economic and strategic ties, and last year Ankara hosted months of indirect talks between Israel and Syria after an eight-year breakdown.

But Erdogan's criticism of Israel's Gaza war thrust Turkey into the role of championing Gaza's Hamas rulers, a militant group shunned by Israel and the West.

Tensions peaked when the Turkish leader stormed out of a high-profile conference where he confronted Israel's president over steep Palestinian civilian casualties.

Turkey:45 Killed at Engagement Party

While the Turkish government has holding joint military exercises with Syria on their minds, they obviously have some major problems within Turkey.

45 killed in attack on engagement party in Turkey
By SELCAN HACAOGLU
ANKARA, Turkey – Masked assailants with grenades and automatic weapons attacked an engagement ceremony in southeast Turkey on Monday, killing 45 people. Two girls survived after the bodies of slain friends fell on top of them during the onslaught.

NTV television quoted Deputy Gov. Ferhat Ozen of Mardin province as saying the nighttime attack occurred in Bilge village near the city of Mardin. Some media outlets reported that a "blood feud" among families had led to the killings in a region where tribal ties and rivalries sometimes eclipse the power of the state.

Citing Ozen, NTV said the motive could be an old feud between rival groups of pro-government village guards who fight alongside Turkish troops against Kurdish rebels in the region.
If that is the case, the government would come under renewed pressure to rein in the militiamen, some of whom have been linked to drug smuggling and other crimes.

Mehmet Besir Ayanoglu, the mayor of Mardin, told Turkey's Channel 24 that he spoke to two survivors, both girls, who said at least two masked men stormed a house where the ceremony took place. Other reports put the number of assailants at four.

"'They raided the house, we were in two rooms, they opened fire on everyone, they were wearing masks,'" Ayanoglu quoted the girls as saying. The girls said they lay underneath the bodies of friends until the attack was over.

Interior Minister Besir Atalay said 45 people were killed and six were wounded, and ruled out involvement of Kurdish rebels. He said he, along with the justice and agriculture ministers, would travel to the village early Tuesday.

Anatolia news agency said the attack lasted 15 minutes. All initial reports said the assault happened during a wedding, though CNN-Turk television later said it took place during an engagement ceremony.

One survivor, a 19-year-old woman, said the assailants ordered people to huddle in one room and opened fire, NTV reported. Another report said the attack occurred when people were praying at the house. Some guards responded to the attack but the assailants fled, NTV said.

Ahmet Can, a relative who took the body of his nephew to a hospital, said the site of the attack was horrifying.

"You could not believe your eyes, it is unbelievable," he told Channel 24.
The attack occurred during the ceremony for the daughter of Cemil Celebi, a former village official who was among the wounded.

An Islamic cleric who was presiding over the marriage died at a hospital, NTV said. The fate of the bride and groom was not immediately known. The attack killed an entire family, including the parents and their six children, aged between three and 12.

NATO member Turkey and Syria Hold First Joint Military Exercise

While we have President Obama gushing over the Islamist run Turkey and clueless Clinton telling Lebanon that will we not abandon them, both Islamic countries are abandoning us as NATO member, Turkey has formed a military alliance with Syria and Lebanon. I have been saying for years that we have no true Islamic "allies" and in the end they will band together against the free world. It is going to be us or them.

Hat tip to Eve.

Turkish tanks head for Syria
The joint Turkish-Syrian tank and armored infantry exercise backed by air power begins across the Turkish-Syrian border Monday, April 27, and lasts three days.
DEBKAfile's military sources stress that it is the first joint military maneuver any NATO member, including Turkey, has ever carried out with Syria. It appears to have received a nod from the Obama administration and another first: Never before has an important NATO power staged a joint exercise with any Arab army.

Ankara's decision to launch the drill on the day Israeli commemorates its war dead - in league with Iran's leading ally - is a measure of how far Turkey's longstanding strategic pact with the Jewish state has fallen by the wayside of recent changes.
Washington's approval underscores its new policy of boosting the strength of the Syrian army as partner in a strong a three-way military coalition with Turkey and Lebanon.

Ankara made its announcement while US secretary of state Hillary Clinton was on a short visit to Beirut.

It comes only four days after another first US step: Tuesday, April 22, DEBKAfile's exclusive sources reported that the Obama administration had just approved a large Turkish arms sale to the Lebanese army assigning Turkish military instructors to train Lebanese army units (half of whose personnel are Shiites sympathetic to Hizballah.)

Neither of the Obama administration's actions took into account Israel's vital security interests; nor was Jerusalem consulted about the strategic changes on its borders - or even informed.

DEBKAfile reports that both US drastic policy reverses are causing extreme consternation in Israel's top security echelons, which are criticizing the new Netanyahu government for taking too long to respond to the dire security setbacks piling up around its borders. The most troubling development confronting Israel in years is the grouping together of the Turkish, Syrian and Lebanese armies.

According to the statement from Ankara, the joint exercise "aims to boost friendship, cooperation and trust between Turkish and Syrian land forces and to increase the capability of border troops to train and work together."

In recent weeks, too many developments are closing in too fast and too dangerously for Binyamin Netanyahu to put the whole can of worms on hold until he has a chance to figure out his policies and talk to Barack Obama in the coming month. The dynamic on the ground will be in full flight by then. Too late, the Israeli prime minister will find the security situation running out of his control. Turning back the clock will be hopeless and he will find himself fed some unpalatable accomplished facts.

Obama Embraces Muslim World~Videos

Just last week President Obama actually bowed to King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia. In yesterday's speech to the Islamist lead Turkish Parliament Obama continued his Islamic ass kissing and blatantly lied about Islam not being a violent religion. As his speech was all about him showing respect to his Islamic masters.

This is last week's video where Obama bows to the King of Islam.

Turkey:Israeli Basketball Team Attacked

The Islamic war on Jews in Europe has now spread to Turkey as the Israeli basketball team was attacked. The Turkish fans stormed the field after them chanting "Allah Akbar". After all the commotion the referee showed the Jews no mercy as he handed the Israeli team a technical loss because they were too frightening to return to the court.

Terror in Turkey for Bnei Hasharon
By ALLON SINAI

Bnei Hasharon experienced two hours of terror in Ankara on Tuesday evening.

Moments before the tip-off of the Israeli team's Eurocup encounter against Turk Telekom some 3,000 Turkish fans shouted 'Allah Akbar' and, by some accounts, 'death to the Jews' in protest against the IDF's actions in Gaza.

Other fans threw bottles at the Israeli players and stormed the court, forcing the Israelis to flee for the dressing rooms.

The players and staff were only able to leave for their hotel thanks to a massive police escort after being stranded for two long hours in the locker room.

Bnei Hasharon chairman Eldad Akunis described the terrifying moments.

"We arrived at the arena under heavy security. There were 1,500 policemen in the arena, 500 of them in plain clothes. The fans waved Palestinian flags and shouted abuse towards Israel," Akunis said.

"As the game was set to begin they stormed the court and we raced towards the dressing rooms. Our players are in shock and all we want at the moment is to return back home."

Team captain Meir Tapiro said only the police's intervention prevented the players from being attacked.

"The fans raced on to the court and ran towards us like madmen, but the police stopped them. It was really scary," he said.

Amazingly, the game referee demanded that Bnei Hasharon play after all the supporters were cleared from the arena, but the team refused and is set to receive a technical loss.

"After a delay due to on-court disturbances before the game, the Turk Telekom vs Bnei Hasharon game was not played due to Bnei´s refusal to play despite clearing the arena of fans," a ULEB press release read.

"The situation will be reviewed by the disciplinary judge to give the final ruling. Under league rules the refusal to play a game by a team can be sanctioned and the game can be given to the opposing team 20-0."

Earlier, a pro-Islamic group earlier set an Israeli flag on fire outside the arena.

Turkey has harshly criticized Israel over the ground offensive in Gaza and has urged an immediate cease-fire. It has also called on the United Nations to take steps to end the violence.
